GST Overview
GST (Goods and Service Tax) is a comprehensive tax levied on manufacture, sale and
consumption of goods and services and is being introduced to simplify the indirect taxation
system.
ItCentral
will replace and subsume most of the indirect goods and service taxes levied by the Indian
and State governments
The Indian business process would be impacted after the GST bill is rolled out which is
expected in July 2017.

The Need for SAP Customers

The GST prerequisites have already been rolled out by SAP and it is mandatory for all the
SAP systems to be GST compliant before the deadline is met.
The primary need is to migrate from the tax code based process (TAXINJ) to condition
based procedure (TAXINN).
