Interoperability Products
Exploiting the full power of the eMatrix platform requires integrating it with existing software systems that can range from desktop
personal productivity tools, like mechanical CAD, or enterprise systems like ERP. Such systems can be commercial or proprietary; old
or new. eMatrix includes a variety of integration products to meet your specific business needs.

Optional packaged integrations are fully developed, maintained software products that link the eMatrix platform to a variety of popular
systems to establish seamless data sharing between the eMatrix environment and other mission-critical applications. Integrations give
your users dynamic access to consistent, up-to-date information from enterprise applications, across multiple systems, divisions, and
continents. These integrations are also adaptive in nature, so they can be tailored while the systems are in operation. In addition,
packaged integrations are delivered ready-to-run, requiring no programming to operate in your environment.

Integration Technologies
Adaplet technology offers a degree of integration that makes the information in other systems appear — to end users and applications
alike — as if it were located inside the eMatrix system. Adaplets create a common virtual environment for all your enterprise data.
Adaplet technology applies eMatrix object characteristics to data from other systems. This data can acquire new properties (such as
lifecycles, methods, and relationships) and participate in common processes with information from other sources. Adaplet technology
supports read and write operations and can be connected via system APIs, allowing eMatrix users and applications to view and interact
with information without compromising the original database’s integrity.

The optional Adaplet Development Tool Kit includes everything you need to create and implement custom Adaplets for simplified
integration of other enterprise information. And, as plug-ins, Adaplets can be installed and modified while the systems are in operation.

XML messaging allows the eMatrix system to communicate with other applications capable of sending and receiving XML content via
the Web. For asynchronous (batch) processes, XML import and export capabilities allow data to be shared with XML-capable systems.

To satisfy the multitude of integration scenarios in typical environments, a variety of APIs allow programs to communicate with eMatrix.
APIs are available for XML, JNI, RMI, EJB (J2EE), and CORBA.
