 GHG Management System and ISO 14064 Certification

To meet the stakeholders’ requirements and environmental policy guidelines, one of our
client wanted to develop and implement organization wide GHG Management System,
which eventually can be verified against ISO 14064 standard requirements. We worked with
client in designing, developing, and implementing tailored GHG management system and
subsequently getting the ISO 14064 certification successfully. Thus EcoLogic helped the
client to get India’s first ISO 14064 standard compliant GHG Management System.

 Municipal SolidWaste Management Project

Sangali City generates around 110 Tonnes/day of Solid Waste. Like many typical tier-II
towns, Sangali too faces the difficulty in managing the waste it generates. With the
objective of updating it's waste management systems and complying with rules published
by the Ministry of Urban Development, the Municipal Corporation of Sangali engaged us
in the project as strategic consultants.We analysed the situation of Sangali's Waste
Management System bottom-up, building clarity on the composition of waste generated,
the routes of collection and transportation vehicles till final disposal.

 Biomethanation and Cogeneration CDM

The Sugar plant has recently comissioned a 13 MW cogeneration plant utilizing bagasse (
renewable biomass available in excess). This plant is eligible for earning carbon credits since
it displaces the fossil-fuel intensive grid electricity by exporting biomass generated
electricity to the grid.
Similarly the spentwash from attached distillery is being biomethanated to extract methane
– a fuel as well as a GHG.This project activity is also carbon credit eligible.

 Investor facing communication

Our client, one of the top 200 companies by market capitalization in India was asked by
CDP ( Carbon Disclosure Project), a London based NGO supported by world’s largest
investors to report on its climate change strategies, carbon footprint and mitigation plans.
We assisted them to build a comprehensive system to measure, monitor and report their
emissions and help enabled them to respond to investor queries. These communication
will become a part of analysis by global investors to determine the risk in their portfolio.
