Pre-assess:
Look at a range of pictures- how do they make you feel? What colour
matches that feeling talking partners to share how and why you are
feeling that way
Week 2 Students to create a slideshow- each slide a different colour- add the
appropriate feelings (informal assessment- who gets it?)
Recap hot and cold colours- how do they make you feel? When might
you use these colours? small similar art work to show understanding
Week 3 Look at lines and motions in art- what type of line represents different
emotions-links to music- what types of feelings do feel with different
types of music? (circle art depicting emotions using a combo of colours
and lines)-bring in discussions around fractions- do we always have to
use circles?

Week 4 Art focus- using colours and lines to depict emotions (create a What
am I book using this art)- small groups
Production creation of costumes in amongst Inquiry- Can be done as part of indp. activities.
Hot/cold colours-art
Fractions fraction art- linking colours to feelings etc- range of different fraction shapes etc
The Arts Covered under Production/ calendar art, music- how does the beat make you feel,
explanation of art
Gymnastics
Maths will continue before and after lunch with Strand integrated throughout Inquiry and
Independent Activities, Strand specifically taught on a Friday
