William Shakespeare, the great playwright and poet, was born on April 23,
1564 in the small town of Stratford-upon-avon about seventy miles from
London. When he was small boy, he when to Stratford Grammar School,
where he learnt Latin and Greek.
He lived in Stratford-upon-avon until he was 21. He left for London. He
was married and had three children. In London, he worked as an actor
and a playwright.He wrote a lot of famous plays like Hamlet, Prince of
Denmark, Twelfth Night and King Lear, etc.
In 1613, Shakespeare left London and returned to his home town of
Stratford-upon-avon. Three years later, on April 23, 1616, he died and
was buried there.
