The College of Mass Communication is blessed to have faculty members who have

excelled in their fields expertise.

She is a graduate of Bachelor of Journalism at Silliman University, she also took her
Masters in Education and Doctors degree on Education at Silliman University. She is
a regular host of Thursday Nite Chat at Fil Products Cable TV. She teaches COM 15 or
Introduction to Communication, COM 16 or Intro to Mass Media, COM 31 or Feature
Writing, COM 32 or Opinion Writing, she is our energetic dean, Dr. Ma. Cecilia M.
Genove.

A graduate of Bachelor in Journalism at Silliman University, she took her Masters in

Communication at the University of the Philippines, she took her PHD in
Development at the University of the Philippines Los Banos. She is also the director
of the Instructional Media and Technology Center of Silliman Universtiy. She
teaches, Communication and Society, Broadcasting subjects, and Environmental
Communication and Campaigns. She is no other than Dr. Rosario M. Baseleres.

Another member of our faculty graduated AB Journalism from the University of the
Philippines Dilliman, a graduate of Masters in Environmental Studies at Brown
Universtiy. She is teaching Environmental Reporting and Commentaries,
Advertising, Public Relations, Communication Research, Environmental
Communication, Community Newspaper. She is no other than, Mrs. Irma Faith B. Pal.

A legendary member of the faculty, she is a graduate of AB English at St. Francis

University in Guihulngan, Negros Oriental, also a Mass Communication graduate of
Silliman University, attended Indiana University under a scholarship, and took her
Masters in Journalism at the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication. She
is Ms. Celia Acedo. s
