Introduction
This is a two-year (four semesters) full-time program aliated
to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The University revised
curriculum from 2013. It was done keeping in mind the
national priorities and international practices aimed for
management students.
The choice based credit system oers wide range of choices
for students to opt for courses based on their aptitude and
career goals. This pattern gives every Institute the much
needed exibility for utilizing their resources optimally.
The CBCS oers various courses which comprises of core, full
credit courses and elective, half credit courses. The core full
credit courses are fundamentally essential for every
management student and are compulsory. The electives half
credit courses are related to various specializations across
various functional areas. The student is required to choose the
electives depending upon his/ her preferences and area of
interest.
Pedagogy:
The pedagogy includes case studies, business exposure
activities, class-room learning through interactive session,
industrial visits, value added programs and various
certications. Strength of MBA at MITSOM is the rigor through
which each student passes while these two years and the
enormous amount of exposure that he / she gets to the world
of business through various activities.
Objectives of the MBA Programme are

Introduction
The MCA program is a blend of Computer and Management
related courses. The computer based courses uses
microcomputers to introduce standard techniques of
programming. The uses of software packages like word
processors, spreadsheets and databases helps for business
data analysis and design. The course would emphasis more on
the study and creation of business applications, rather than
more programming based subjects. The inclusion of projects
in each semester improves students technical orientation,
understanding of IT environment and domain knowledge. It

MITSOM has a well organised Placement Cell. The Cell
provides a platform for students seeking placements to meet
and interact with corporate organizations and business
houses. Management education is nothing else but a

The cell in close association with the institute prepares a
