Vision

The Bulacan Agricultural State College as an outstanding higher education institution in the nation with its
provision of affordable and excellent education.

Mission

The Bulacan Agricultural State College shall strive for excellence in Agriculture and other disciplines. It shall
provide for and address ever-changing educational needs and services for those seeking to expand their
intellectual horizons. It shall address national and international issues and be established as a major contributor
to the progress of the global community.

Institute Goals

1. Produce professionals in the fields of study offered by the institute equipped with appropriate
technologies who can meet the challenges of a dynamic environment towards global competitiveness.
2. Implement research, extension, training and production activities in line with the institute, college, local,
regional and national development thrusts.
3. Maintain a standard of excellence in fields of endeavor the institute is engaged in.
4. Establish linkages with different agencies and establishments (private and government) as training ground
for student and faculty development and for possible funding support.

Objectives of BS Geodetic Engineering

1. Equip students with appropriate techniques, skills and tools necessary for the practice of Geodetic
Engineering.
2. Prepare student to the practice of geodetic engineering by applying knowledge of mathematics, physical
sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. Introduce students to the effects and impact of the geodetic engineering profession on the environment
and the society, as well as the social and ethical responsibilities of the profession.

II. Course Title : GENERAL SURVEYING 2
III. Course Description : Resectioning triangulation; trilateration; solar observations time
and azimuth; trigonometric and barometric leveling; hydrographic
surveys.
IV. Credit Unit : 4 units
V. Prerequisite : GENG 110
VI. Contact Hours : 8 Hours per week (2 hours lecture, 6 hours laboratory)

VII. Course Objective :

At the end of the term the student is expected to:

1. acquire comprehensive understanding of the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the college;
2. internalize the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the college to achieve excellence in
education;
3. understand the concepts, principles and instrument used in vertical and horizontal control
surveys and geodetic astronomy:
4. understand the concepts, principles, uses and applications of topographic surveying.
5. know the construction of topographic maps and hydrographic charts;
6. develop good attitude in conducting survey activities

X. Class Policies :
1. Special quizzes and exams will only be given to students who are absent with valid reason (e.g.
sickness, attended a seminar).
2. Projects and assignments must be submitted on or before deadline, otherwise will be graded
ZERO.
3. Students must wear their ID and uniform during the days they are required to.
4. Cheating and any other similar forms will be considered as FAILED.
5. 10 absences will be considered as FAILED
6. Those students who will get 65% or higher grade but were unable to submit all necessary
requirements, INC will be given until such requirements will be satisfied.
