it regularly.
It is very important to back up to change the model or to transfer data when it breaks down.
On iPhone you can back up in three different ways using iTunes and iCloud, or external
memory. Here, we will explain how to back up and restore iPhone data, merit and demerit in
an easy-to-understand manner.
First, I will explain how to use iCloud. iCloud is a so-called cloud service that allows you to
move and store data on the net. You can operate with iPhone only, but WiFi environment is
required.
1. Start setup application from home screen scroll and select "iCloud"
2. Log in with your Apple ID (If you do not have an Apple ID, you need to register).
3. Next, choose whether to synchronize iPhone's Safari history bookmark with the PC. If
you want to see bookmark page on PC, "join".
4. Select "Backup"
5. Turn on iCloud backup switch (yellow green) Back up starts with 'Create backup
now' (WiFi environment is required).
When the backup starts, the display "Backup is being created ..." appears. When the
backup work is over, the display disappears and the date of "Last Backup" is updated.
When iCloud becomes full, some data can not be saved. When it runs out, it is necessary to
devise some data such as uploading some data to another storage service (Dropbox etc.).

Ringtone
Placing apps on the home screen
Visual voicemail
History data
I will explain the advantages and disadvantages of this backup method. Since each method
has different features, it is recommended to use what you think is best.
Free up to 5 GB of data
You can back up with iPhone alone
When WiFi is connected and connected to the power supply in locked state, it automatically
backs up once a day
1-3-2. Disadvantages of backing up with iCloud
Next is how to use iTunes. ITunes is free software that you can use to transfer data on
iPhone or iPod. It needs to be installed on the personal computer.
2-1. How to backup in iTunes
Whether or not a backup can be made can be confirmed by checking whether the date of
"latest backup" was updated in the backup column on the screen of item 2 above.
[Setting data]
wallpaper
Placing apps on the home screen
Data such as application settings
Applications and websites permitted to use location information
network settings
Predictive conversion
Mail account (mail itself can not be backed up)
Game Center account
Microsoft Exchange account settings
Automatic browser input data
Email, site, WiFi, application password
Registered Bluetooth device
History data
Application related
Data of the application (application itself and some data can not be saved)
Offline app cache, data
Contacts, frequently used contacts
Calendar event
Camera roll pictures, video
Purchased in the application and others
* In case applications data can not be saved, it is a good idea to set "data takeover" etc. in
each application.
In addition to iTunes and iCloud, iPhone backup can be backed up with memory.
To find out which product to select, search "external memory for iPhone" and so on and
refer to product information and word of mouth. Also, please refer to the site about how to
restore the data.
The backup method in external memory differs depending on the product. Also, the type of
data that can be backed up by product varies. Please refer to the instruction manual and
site.
In many cases, it seems to be a method of installing an application for external memory and
managing data there.
I will explain how to restore data backed up using iCloud with another iPhone or initialized
iPhone and delete deleted backup data.
1. Advance initial setting of the iPhone you want to transfer data "Restore from iCloud
backup" in the App and data items.
2. Enter Apple ID and password "Next"
3. Confirm the terms of service "I agree"
4. Since the backup list is displayed, restoration will start when you select the data you want
to restore.
1. Follow steps 1 to 3 in the previous section "4-2-1. Selecting and deleting some data" to
"Manage storage"
Next, I will show you how to restore the data backed up in iTunes and how to delete
unnecessary data.
1. Start iTunes, connect iPhone and click "Restore Backup ..." in iTunes.
2. Since the popup is displayed, select the name of the iPhone you want to restore from
"iPhone's name" "Restore"
3. When the restoration work is completed, the following window will be displayed.
1. Open iTunes and press "Ctrl" + "," key to open the configuration screen ("command" + ","
on Mac) press the "device" button
Displayed in "Device Backup:" is a list of backup data (the encrypted data has a lock mark).
Summary
I introduced three backup methods on the iPhone. The characteristics of each method are
summarized as follows.
* Although it is safe to back up in several ways, please be aware that turning on iCloud
turns off iTunes.
I do not know when things will break. Even if troubles such as sudden breakdowns and
submergence occur, it is safe to keep backing up regularly so that data can be moved
smoothly.
