in practice the teachings of their religion
2.1. Show behavioral science (curiosity; objective; honest; careful; meticulous; diligent;
careful; be responsible; open; critical; creative; innovative and caring environment) in
their daily activities as a form of implementation of the attitude in conducting
observations, experiments, and discussions
2.2. Appreciate the work of individuals and groups in their daily activities as a form of
implementation conducting experiments and report the results of the experiment
3.3. Applying the laws of fluid static in everyday life
4.3. Design and conduct experiments that utilize the properties of static fluid, following
presentation of the results of the experiment and its utilization.

C. Indicators
1. Gratitude on order and complexity of nature and the universe to the greatness of God who
created
2. Scientific Behavior (curiosity; objective; honest; careful; meticulous; diligent; careful; be
responsible; open; critical; creative; innovative and caring environment) in activities of
daily living
3. Curiosity in learning Archimedes law of matter and its applications in daily life
4. Mention Archimedes law correctly
5. Formulate Archimedes law correctly
6. Calculate buoyancy force correctly
7. Do experiment on Archimedes law
8. Discuss and present the results of experiments on Archimedes law

D. Lesson Material
An object in a liquid (either partially or completely) will experience an buoyancy force that
is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid
This statement is known as Archimedes Law. In mathematics :
=
Where : =

Because = and = then,

= so, =

Where: = ()[3 ]

= [3 ]

= [ 2 ]
E. Lesson Activities
Content Activities Duration
a. Teacher starts the lesson
Assalamualaikum wr.wb. Morning students? How
are you today?
Before we start our lesson, please pray first, pray
begin finish
Who is absent today?
- No absent : good.
- Absent : why? I hope he/she can come next week
b. Teacher gives motivation.
Are you have study last night?
- Yes : good
- No : why? Are study is important for students,
right? Its okay, if last night you dont study, but
next you must study, okay?
Opening c. Teacher gives students prior knowledge 5
Ok, now I will ask some question for you. Will you?
When you swim, what do you feel? Are you feel your
body lighter?
So, there is something that can make you feel your
body lighter. Do you know what?
No? That is a something about Archimedes law. Now
we will learn about it.
d. Teacher explains the objectives
The objectives of our lesson today is :
1. Students can aplicating Archimedes law in daily
life
2. Students can mention, formulate, and calculate
Archimedes law
3. Students can do experiment, discuss and present all
about Archimedes law
a. Exploration
1. Teacher divides the students into two groups and
coordinate student in order can do experiment
Now, we will do experiment about Archimedes
law. So you are know why your body feel lighter
when you swim.
Main
Ok students, I will divide the class into two 32
Activities groups, the right of the mother is group 1 and left
the mother is group 2.
Set your chairs become a circle each grup, so
everybody can see the experiment
2. Teacher gives studentss worksheets.
Delegation from each grup please come and put
this worksheets and necessaries
3. Teacher asks the students to do their experiment and
guides students in conducting activities.
Please read and do experiment carefully. If not
understand, asked to me. And your time is 15
minutes. Happy working, enjoy.
b. Elaboration
1. Teacher asks one group to present its activities.
Anygroup want to present first?
Okay grup 2, please.
2. Teacher asks another group to respond to the
presentation of the first group.
Any opinion about the results from group 2?
- No : Sure? Its okay, next group 1 please
present your results.
- Yes : whats your opinion Elva? Yes, I think
that is very interested to be discussed in the
last time.
3. Teacher and students discuss the results of activities.
After all of group present their results, now we
will discussed it. At experiment you get size of
the cube 1 is, and cube 2 , the size of 2 cube are
same, right?
Then, how about the weight of two cube? Same
or difference? Okay difference.
After you do the experiment, it appear that the
weight in the air is greater than the weight in the
water, although cube 1 or cume 2. And you got
the difference of the weight, cube 1 is , and
cube 2 is Its same, right?
That means that the object is immersed in water
will have a lighter weight, it indicates that the
object has gained force in the opposite direction
to the weight of the object. Its call a buoyancy
force. For the experiment, we got the buoyancy
force is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid
by the object, for every object that has the same
volume will experience the same buoyancy force.
This is seen at the experiment that the difference
of weight cube, at cube 1 and cube 2 are same,
that is N, although the weight of 2 cube are
difference.
c. Confirmation
So, why do we get different results when measuring
the weight of the object in the air and the weight of
the object in the water?
- Because there is an buoyancy force mom
Yes nice Ana
After you do experiments of the Archimedes law,
what you can conclude? Who wants to conclude?
- The conclusion is that the Archimedes law
expressed the buoyancy force that is equal to the
weight of the displaced fluid.
Great, good job Iim
And if wrote in mathematic is
=
Where : =
=
Because = and = then,
= so, =
Where: = ()[3 ]
= [3 ]
= [ 2 ]
So the buoyancy force depended on the weight of the
displaced fluid, not depended on the weight of the
object.
a. Teacher give home work
Okay class, for assessment about Archimedes law
please do task 3 at page 36-37 and collecting next
Closing week. And next we will discussed dynamic fluid. 3
b. Teacher close the lesson
I think enough for this day. Dont forget to study.
Thank for this day. Wassalamualaikum wr.wb. See
you
