extend this previous knowledge and use this to write their own procedure and complete the science experiment
as a fun activity at the end.
Learning purpose: (May refer to the Elaborations of the curriculum content description here)
The learning purpose of this lesson is to revise the parts of a procedure (goal, materials, steps and the test), and to
write their own procedure using these steps.
Learning objectives: Evaluation:

What types of materials would we need to make oobleck do you think?
Sequence of learning experiences: (What will you do to help the students achieve the learning objectives?
What tasks and activities will the students be involved in to help achieve the learning objectives?)

9:50 1. Students fill out their procedure worksheets with the help from the teacher and the video.
10:05 2. Students start getting ready for experiment. (collecting their ingredients, putting newspaper
on the table, all eyes and ears to the teacher).
10:10 3. Students start making their oobleck. The teacher goes through the steps to make sure
everyone is going on the same track, asking the students what the next step is on their
procedure.
10:15 4. Students are given the chance to play with their oobleck.

Questions: As the students play with the oobleck.
What does it feel like in your hands?
If you squeeze it into a ball what happens? What happens if it runs off your hand?
Poke it sharply, does it feel solid or like a liquid?

10:30 Oobleck conclusion: Ask students to wash their hands, and leave the oobleck in their containers.
(The teachers and EAs will pour the oobleck into zip lock bags for students to take home).

10:40 Student Quiz: Students will log on to the link on seesaw and will participate in a quiz about todays

10:45 All students pack up and get ready for recess time.
RECESS- EATING TIME.
Lesson Evaluation:
(Reflect on the lesson. What worked? What did not work? What would you change? Why?)
- Students were well behaved and everything mostly went to plan. All students were involved in the
Oobleck and all listened carefully to instructions which made the lesson run smoothly.
- However, I had to complete the quiz after recess as time run out, and we had to pack up before they
began eating on their break. This wasnt a big problem, and was easily solved and they completed it after
they can back from their break.
- Students were a little too excited when they found out they were going to be completing the experiment,
but used all eyes and ears and hands on heads, hands on nose etc. This worked well to focus them.
- Students began fighting over colour of Oobleck, but was easily fixed by swapping those around who
wanted the same colour.
- I decided to work with them as a class on the worksheets, which ended up working better.
