ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
One of the major challenges facing the Nigerian Tertiary Institutions today is inadequate
planning and management of construction projects awarded by various Institutions.
Lack of proper Tender Administration and problem of delay in payment; leading to
overruns and abandoned projects.

The Workshop will provide the attendees with comprehensive guidance and in-depth
knowledge on Planning, Tender Administration and Site Supervision of Building and
Engineering Projects in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions with emphasis on practical issues.
This workshop is particularly designed for Directors of Works/Physical Planning and
other stakeholders in charge of Construction works in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions. In
particular, the workshop will assist the attendees to be able to prepare reliable and
realistic tenders, select appropriate consultants and contractors thereby improving
Infrastructures in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions and better learning environment.
