METHODOLOGY

This project on AWARENESS OF BANKING SERVICES AMONG YOUTH


has been done on the basis of secondary methodology. All the information used
in the project has been extracted from a source, details of which are mentioned
in the Bibliography section of the project.
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The main objective of the study is A Study on customer awareness


and preference of Indian Bank products.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVE

With the above primary objective, the research must be done


o to know the customers awareness with the Indian Bank products
such as deposits, loans and services
o to know the satisfaction level of the customers with Indian Bank,
their reasons for preferring other banks etc.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A Study on Youth Awareness among Banking Services helps the


researcher to gain good experience and information about Indian Bank in the
selected areas of study.

Financial liberalization and technology revolution have allowed the


developments of new and more efficient delivery and processing channels as
well as more innovative products and services in banking industry. Banking
institutions are facing competition not only from each other but also from non-
bank financial intermediaries as well as from alternative sources of financing.

Retail banking has undergone rapid changes with the introduction of new
technology based channels and its interesting to note how people have adapted
to different ways of deriving their banking needs. This study uses
psychographics to study the banking channel adaptation and the trends in the
retail banking scenario in Karnataka, India. It has been found that people clearly
want convenience and security in their choice of banking channels.

Technological advances has witnessed the application of technology in


increasing the number of banking channels namely ATM, Internet Banking,
Tele Banking and branch banking as well as banking services Credit card,
Debit Card.
