CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background/Overview of the Study

The focus of this study is to design a megachurch and training facility for Jesus
Christ To God Be the Glory (JCTGBTG). JCTGBTG is an independent born again
Christian church. Started on the year 1986, it is serving the Lord now for 31 years.
The church has 144 extension churches nationwide and 35 churches overseas.

The JCTGBTG has a banner project, the Project GCCOTE which stands for
Gospel, Church Center, Operation Tulong, Education. This project of the church aims
to help and reach out individuals to encourage and gave them knowledge in knowing
more about God.

Elaborating the purpose of the PROJECT GCCOTE, first is the Gospel, the
main goal of this is to spread the true and complete gospel by spreading it throughout
the country and all over the world. Second is the Church Center, in support to the
project of Jesus Christ To God Be the Glory (JCTGBTG), the church is needing a
megachurch wherein Sunday services, general bible study and other church activities
and operations can be held. Due to the rapidly population growth of the church a place
of worship is needed. This will also serve as the main church of JCTGBTG and also
training center for the church members who will soon become a teachers and pastors.
Third is Operation Tulong an ongoing project of the church wherein the church
reaches out to different areas in Metro manila to help children know the gospel and
teaching of the lord. Lastly is the Education, the goal of the church is educating the
church members to help mold and nurture people to have a mature and effective
Christian living. A training center for future teacher and pastor of the church will be
provided for the project. The church will conduct training for each member based on
their age group to become a future worker of the church.

The project, Moog ko A Proposed Christian Worship Church Center for

Jesus Christ to God Be the Glory, will cater approximately Five Thousand (5,000)
seats as this was the estimated number of church goers that are held every Sunday.
The project will also have a function room for prayer meetings, room for church
ministries, area for bible study that is held every Thursday, rehearsal room worship

team and other various church activities. An office will also be provided for the
administration of the church. Lastly a training center for the members of the church
that aims to become a disciple to serve the lord and became churchs future pastors.

The proponent, Bishop Luis R. Santos and Pastora Norma S. Santos are the
head pastors of Jesus Christ To God Be the Glory Church International, Inc. who
envisioned to have a Worship Center that would help and spread the church mission-
vission to spread the true meaning of the Gospel written in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4,
executed in Acts 2:38.

The clients objective is to have a worship center wherein they can fully initiate
programs and events that aim to reach out to more people and because of the rapid
growth of the members of the church a place of worship is really in need.

The budget for this project will come from the funds gathered from various
projects of the church in relation to the PROJECT G-CCOTE and donations from the
church members of JCTGBTG.

The target location for the project is in Quezon City, since most of the church
members and goers are accessible from this area.

Jesus Christ To God Be the Glory Church is an independent born again

Christian Church. The church doctrine tackles about the written teachings and gospel
in the bible by preaching it to the disciples of the church to engage their maturity in
Christian life and also to enhance their relationship with the Lord.

To spread the true meaning of the Gospel written in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4,

executed in Acts 2:38 based on Romans 6:2-4, in all the world, through whatever
ways and means, and teach members to obey biblical sound doctrine according
to Matthew 28:20.
A heart-changes, life-transformed community of Christians based on Matthew
23:26 and Romans 12:2, cultured by the ministry of encouragement.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and I
am with you always even unto the end of the world. Amen

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there will My
servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. John 12:26

Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. He who gathers
crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a
disgraceful son.

Proverbs 10:4-5

It is stated in the verse above that with working hard will give you wealth and being
timid will have you nothing. As part of the church project helping the church members

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which
you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved,
if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for
our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the
third day according to the Scriptures.

Acts 2:38

38 Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus
Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 6:2-4

2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
3 Or dont you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized
into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in
order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we
too may live a new life.

will be clean.

And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I

Reflecting to the verse stated, we all human living on this earth has one and
only purpose to serve the Lord whom created us in the first place. Everything here on
earth are not permanent, the only thing permanent in this world is the heaven above
us where in an everlasting life could be found. God commanded us to obey his
teachings and commandments, if so God promised that he is always with us until the
rupture they. God is not a man who lies, he kept all the promises he told us. Do not
fear I am with you - Isaiah 41:10.
