Pathways: Education with a Purpose

Life takes us down different paths. At Altus schools, our Pathways program ensures that students have a
clear goal in mind for their post-high school plans. Utilizing Naviance Family Connection, a web-based
program, we identify a students strengths, target his or her blind-spots, explore career options, and
discover his or her ideal learning environment for success.

A Pathways Personalized Education Plan (PPEP) is created for each student to ensure that short term
goals are met toward accomplishing the larger goal of being successful. Our comprehensive program
allows students to research post-high school opportunities including: four year universities, community
colleges, career and technical education, and military prospects. Our experienced counselors and
teachers will guide each student in every part of the PPEP process. Pathways puts meaning into school
work by providing a clear, personalized vision for the future.

At Intake: Game Plan Survey

Answer the first question of the Game Plan survey. This begins our PPEP process by selecting a
Pathway. When you graduate from high school, what would you like to do:

Go straight to a 4 year college Go straight to a community college (2yr)

Before your next appointment, complete the Do What You Are, Learning Style Inventory, and PPEP
surveys as the next step in the PPEP process. Be sure to turn this in to your teacher on your first
appointment day.

1. Go to the Family Connection for your school: https://connection.naviance.com/cssd

2. Enter your username and password. (username/email ________________, password ___________)
3. Click on the About Me tab at the top of the page, and complete the following tasks:

o Click on see related careers to view matching careers. Find two careers that interest you,
click on the career, then click (at the top of the page) to add the career to your
list.
