Capstone Project Pre-Final Defense

Objective
Evaluate the quality of software/system developed as solutions in an organization/company using the
criteria on the rating sheet: Note: The evaluation of the system/software will focus on maintenance
and transactions only
Evaluate the knowledge and understanding of the students on the system of the study
Evaluate the technical writing skills of the students

Panel Guidelines
1. Strictly follow the specified schedule. Questions shall be entertained after the presentation.
(Clarifications maybe asked during presentation.)

Setup . 5 mins
Presentation . 25 mins (10 mins PPT and 15 mins System Walkthrough)
Q&A 40 mins
Deliberation & Wrap-up... 5 mins
TOTAL 75 mins

2. Follow carefully the evaluation instrument.

Note: Please check the appropriate evaluation: 5 Strongly Agree; 4 Agree;
3 Disagree; 2 Strongly Disagree

3. Excess setup time shall be deducted from the presentation time. Unconsumed presentation time shall
be added to the Q&A.

4. Summary of Findings/Results/Recommendations in the deliberation shall be discussed with the

students.

5. NUMERIC GRADE IS REQUIRED for each group.

Group Grade: Accumulated Points based on the Evaluation Criteria

6. The panelist will also give grade to each member of the group based on presentation and Q&A.
Individual Grade: Expressed in percentage (e.g. 85, 80, 75, 70)

7. NO REDEFENSE (requirements of the panelist must be delivered by the group on the Final Defense).
8. The grades given by the panelists shall be final.
9. Panel members shall submit fully accomplished and signed rating sheet to the DIT Chairperson right
after the defense session.

1. PRESENTATION QUALITY (15 POINTS)

Points given will be based on how the group presents their system, reply to questions and the overall
presentation skills of each members of the group.

2. SYSTEM QUALITY (55 POINTS)

FUNCTIONALITY
The system has all the modules and features that addresses the business need/s
Business needs can be found in the following:

System features can be found in the following:
- Traceability Matrix
- System Use Case Diagram
- Detailed Use Case Diagram
The System features work according to normal flow of business
The normal flow of the business refers to the items listed in their System Use Case Diagram and the Use
Case Descriptions.
For Example:
Use Case: Enroll Student
Normal Flow: Search Student -> Enroll Student Process -> Receive Output
The system features work according to alternative course of actions
The alternative flow of the business refers to the items listed in the Use Case Descriptions as Alternative
Flow.

The system features provide correct results

The system outputs correct results based on the following:
- Computations
- Search Results
- Report Output
The system is able to catch and notify errors on the users interaction with the system
The system is able to:
- display error messages to user
- display save, edit, search pop up messages to notify users
- Insertion of data is done using the system ONLY.
The system provides an end-to-end user experience in respect to business need
The system provides:
- can complete transactions with output
- program does not terminate
