Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling of

HVAC system for 20ft and 40ft containers

CFD modelling is performed to validate

performance of the HVAC system consist of
natural ventilation and air conditioning.
CFD modelling shows hot zone formation
which may lead to tripping off equipment
although heat load calculation performed
were satisfying the required temperature
criteria.
CFD helped to establish uniform temperature
and air distribution inside the container

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling of

Pipeline

CFD analysis of the pipeline of diameter 1800mm

supplying water is carried out to investigate flow
pattern and distribution of flow to inlet. The pipe is
collecting water from reservoir which is almost 1kM
away from the pumping station.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling of De-

silting Chamber

CFD analysis of the De-silting chamber was done to

investigate efficiency of de-silting chamber. The
efficiency of the chamber was checked for various
diameter of the particles such as 0.1,0.2 and 1mm size.
Results of CFD model shows good agreement with
physical modelling done earlier.

CFD modelling of Spillway

CFD modelling of Spillway was carried out to check

cavitation potential and air entrainment from
proposed aerator. The CFD modelling helped to
understand amount air entrainment and cavitation
potential in the spillway with various gate openings.
The results were compared with physical model and
found them in agreement.
