1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background

Impact Training is a community based, not for profit training organisation. The
organisation was set up to tackle the serious unemployment problems in North &
West Belfast in the 1970s. It has delivered a range of government funded initiatives
and programmes to meet the needs and barriers to employment. It currently delivers
a range of training and employment programmes including Training for Success,
Level 2 and 3 Apprenticeships, and the Local Employment and Intermediary Service
(LEMIS). Its main base is situated at 16 Lanark Way, Shankill Road, Belfast.

The Department for Communities, Community Empowerment Division provides

grants through the Neighbourhood Renewal Investment Fund to tackle Deprivation
and social Need within Neighbourhood Renewal Designated Areas.

Community Empowerment Division has approved grant aid to Impact Training (NI)
Ltd, a training and education provider located on the Shankill Road.

1.2 Scope

Impact Training Limited in line with the Department for Communities, Community
Empowerment Division wishes to appoint a Contractor to supply, deliver and install
specialised joinery equipment.

It is anticipated that this Contract will commence on the date of award until the
accepted delivery and installation of all required goods, up to 29th December 2017.

1.3 Terms

For the remainder of this document the client is defined as Impact Training, unless
otherwise stated. The end-user is defined as the individual who will use the
equipment on a day-to-day basis.
2.0 Mandatory Requirements

The proposed system must meet all the Mandatory Requirements (MRs) listed below

Tenderers must respond by providing the manufacturer and model

number of the product offered in compliance with the required minimum
specification detailed in Appendix A.
A detailed response is required.
Delivery
MR2 Tenderers must confirm that they will deliver and install the above
equipment to Impact Training, 16 Lanark Way, Belfast BT13 3BH

The delivery address will be the above and must be confirmed by the
contractor with Impact Training prior to the delivery (Telephone number
028 90339910).

Delivery and installation must be Monday to Friday between 9:00am to

4:00pm.
Confirm compliance
Warranty
MR3 The Tenderer must provide a minimum 3 - 5 years warranty on the
equipment offered in MR1. Warranty must cover the following:

Defects in material and manufacture

Replacement of any faulty parts
Repairs, labour and travel costs
Response time maximum 14 business days response to any
fault logged with supplier and if required, this must include
collection, followed by repair or replacement

NB - The period of warranty must commence from the date of

acceptance by the client. Acceptance will be upon delivery, unless the
contractor is notified of a fault or defect within 30 calendar days of
delivery. In these circumstances the faulty equipment must be replaced
with a new replacement within 2 weeks.
