Chapter 1: Introduction to ArchiCAD:
How to start opening ArchiCAD:

- Start ArchiAD window will appear:

Open a Project:

To open a ready exiting project:

Then you can either choose


browse for a solo project (Single
working project) or a teamwork
project or selecting a saved file.

Setting up the working environment


either choosing:

- Last profile used: The last


interface you have set and used.
- Default profile: using the ArchiCAD
interface as if you are opening it
for the first time.

These are 3 default work


environment with
different interfaces.

Then press the Open tab


to start using ArchiCAD.

ArchiCAD where each order with its
logo and name which makes it easily
used.

It can be minimized in shape to give


bigger model space.

- Info Box menu:

Info Box by default is


found in this place, by
pulling it out and drag it
and drop you can change
its place which would be
easier to use.

options to use where they
are the same when it was
in its default place.

- Resetting Model space Grid:


Delete the elevation lines that appear on your working grid.

This warning message will appear,


press Delete Viewpoint, another

To reset the Project Stories: From pull down menu, Design
and choose Story Settings.
