poem because they will ask themselves the question why do we have feelings which
creates a sense of wonder.

This lesson the students experience the virtue of faith as they question and wonder why
feelings exist. The students experience a sense of faith as they develop greater
understanding about their feelings which helps the students develop their faith. Faith is
important for students to develop as it allows them to have a stronger belief in God and
what Jesus has taught his followers.
General Capabilities:
Literacy This is an important part of the lesson as students need to have the basic
understanding of how to write a sentence in order to complete the activity.
Personal and Social Capability Students need to be aware of their surroundings and how
they interact with other students.
Critical and Creative thinking The students need to be able to have a creative spark in
order for them to develop their own individual poem.
Body of the Lesson
The students all have their own individual iPads and also all have the app Pic Collage to
create an acoustic poem. Students will use:

The aim of the activity is to get students to think about their feelings and what they feel
throughout different stages in their day, and childhood. The student will need to use each
letter from their name to create a sentence about how they feel, and what they feel, and
what makes them feel the way they do.

The students are going to use the Pic Collage app to construct their acoustic poem then
airdrop it to the teacher to be marked. The benefit of getting to use the iPad as a way of
creating their work is so the student can get a good copy to then print out and display
around the classroom.
The students can work together to head brainstorm ideas; however, the task is to be
completely individually.

Conclusion
Once the 30 mins are up the students are going to each, one by one, read out their acoustic
poem whilst the rest of the class listens to their poem about their feelings,

student taking ownership for their learning and using art to express the way they want
to give thanks towards Jesus.
Religious Capabilities:
This lesson strongly focuses on faith as the virtue most evident throughout the lesson.
Whilst the students are creating their prayers on the piece of cloth provided from them
they will be reflecting on the things in life they want to give thanks for which helps the
students in developing their faith with God.
General Capabilities:
Literacy The students needs to have basic literacy skills to be able to write and
construct a prayer.
Critical and Creative Thinking Students need to be able to construct a prayer using
their own thoughts and creativity.
Personal and Social Capability Students must be able to be aware of their own
personal capability and be aware that it is an individual task.

Body of the Lesson


Students are all going to be given a piece of cloth. On the piece of cloth, the students
are going to write a prayer giving thanks to God for something they have been blessed Each students will be given a piece of cloth to create
with. their prayer.
25- The students must use textas, or crayons to write their prayer and decorate the cloth.
30mins Prior to writing on their cloth the teacher is going to give each student a piece of scrap
for this paper to design a draft copy of their prayer so they dont mess their good copy up

- The teacher is going to remind students that a prayer starts with Dear God, and
always ends in Amen.
- Students will be able to talk to other students about their work and get ideas however

- Each piece of cloth will be sewed together to create a larger banner which will be
displayed around the classroom.

Conclusion

Once all students have finished their activity, and completed their draft and even their
5mins final good copy the students are going to create a large circle on the floor in the

Next, the students are going to make the sign of the cross and one by one each

Teacher will send the students back to their tables and each group (4 students in a
