Problema
Which Infinispan features require an entitlement beyond JBoss EAP 6 ?

If we purchase a JBoss Data Grid entitlement , can we use Infinispan (bundled
with EAP) for application caching?
Can we use Innispan to store pure Java objects?
Can we use a version of Innispan other than the version shipped with the EAP 6 release?

If your application only uses the core EAP replication features such as HTTP session state
replication, Bean state replication, JAAS cache (https://access.redhat.com/solutions
/259693), or Hibernate second level cache, an additional entitlement is not required (beyond
EAP 6 or EAP 7 ).

The direct use of the Infinispan API is not supported in

JBoss Enterprise Application Platform . Infinispan is used as an
implementation detail for various clustering technologies internal to
JBoss Enterprise Application Platform . The API's module.xml incorrectly
indicates that direct use is possible, even though this is not the case. This will be xed in a
future release. The supported caching solution is Red Hat JBoss Data Grid
(http://www.redhat.com/products/jbossenterprisemiddleware/data-grid/). Note that it

requires a separate entitlement.

Only the version of Innispan shipped with the specic EAP or JDG release is supported.
