Happy fall, yall!
With October comes hopefully much cooler temperatures, some wel-
comed pumpkin-flavored everything, football, hockey, and some exciting
updates at KidsCare Home Health. Yep- you read that right! KidsCare Ther-
apy has recently rebranded and become KidsCare Home Health to include
the nursing component of the business. Which, speaking of October and
nursing, were officially ready to roll!

October marks the launch of the pediatric private duty nursing (PDN)
program being officially open for business, and we couldnt be more excit-
ed! Weve been hard at work getting ready to expand and diversify our
service offerings to help provide pediatric patients additional lines of sup-
port. We are beginning in the Dallas area and once we get processes down
we will begin expanding the areas we provide services. Thank you all for
your continued interest in this exciting time of KidsCares journey its
been fun and amazing to see everyones dedication to our continued
growth.

Which, speaking of growth, the 27th of this month marks our 14 year
anniversary from the day we opened our doors for business! Happy Birth-
day, KidsCare! I stand in awe at what we have been able to do as a collec-
tive team of people dedicated to providing the highest quality of services to
children with special needs. We have grown by leaps and bounds, from an
agency operating out of a little house in Garland with 10 patients to helping
nearly 2,300 children in 8 cities all over Texas and Colorado.

All I can say is thank you for your service, loyalty, and dedication to
ensuring that KidsCare remains the best pediatric provider by showing that
we C.A.R.E!

Nikki Curtis PTA

Physical Therapist
of the Quarter
Congratulations to Nikki Curtis as our PT
of the quarter!! Nikki is a full time PTA
in our Tyler branch, seeing patients in the
Longview area.

Nikki has been with KidsCare for a little over a year and has proven
to be a valuable asset in an area that is not always easy to
maintain a caseload, however Nikki makes it happen!

She advocates for her patients and works hard to see as may
patients as her schedule will allow. She demonstrates
professionalism with everyone she encounters and has established
wonderful relationships with her patients and their families.

KidsCare is lucky to have Nikki as a part of the Tyler team and she
is so deserving of the PT of the Quarter award. Way to go, Nikki!!

Lois Svach
OTR

Occupational Therapist
of the Quarter
Congratulations to Lois Svach as our OT
of the quarter!! Lois has been with KidsCare
Therapy for 7 years this October as a full time occupational
therapist and is absolutely deserving of this award.

Lois maintains a full time caseload and willingly takes on OT

graduate students to assist with completing student externships.
She is friendly and kind with all of her patients and families. Lois
has had multiple parents comment over the years that they love
having her as their OT and their child loves her too.

Lois is our only full time Occupational Therapist in the Irving area
and she rarely says no to taking on new patients.
Congratulations, again, to Lois!!

Jennifer Fulton

Speech Therapist
of the Quarter
A huge congratulations goes out
to Jennifer Fulton our ST of the
quarter! She has been with KidsCare
for 8 years and currently sees patients
in Rowlett, Rockwall, Heath, Royse City,
and Terrell. She is a full time therapist
that has supervised assistants in the past and never hesitates to
volunteer to mentor grad students.
She has grown as a therapist and has improved her skill set
significantly since then, including learning to speak Spanish in order
to be able to treat in Spanish and communicate with her patients
families. She is diligent, creative, consistent, and professional. We
are so lucky to have Jennifer on our team. Congrats, Jennifer!

Ashley is the best recruiter KidsCare
has ever had!! She works tirelessly to
find our therapists, whether it is calling
them, scouring social media, meeting
them at school career fairs, or meeting them
at therapy conventions.
Ashley is the first impression that most of our employee candidates
get when they first encounter KidsCare. She provides that great,
lasting impression of the value of working at KidsCare.

Now she has taken on the additional task of finding nurses for our
newest venture, and she is hitting it out of the park. Ashley
continues to be an integral part of the success of all that we do to
provide outstanding services to our patients.
