The renowned American architect Melton Bekker, conceived the Tower wing in 1973. With its arched balconies

The Taj Mahal Palace guests enjoy a private sit down check in on arrival, in the lobby lounge with a selection of

venue for landmark events and legendary celebrations
throughout the history of the hotel. Against the backdrop
of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, bathed in rich
hues of gold and bejewelled with antique crystal
chandeliers, the Ballroom returns as a dazzling setting for

LTW Designworks, Kuala Lampur has studied the original


architecture of the Ballroom closely and incorporated its
style in it. Corinthian capitals on gold polished columns,
vaulted ceilings, and state of the art audio visual
requirements come together as the perfect amalgam of the
classic and the contemporary. The Ballroom outfitted with
the latest in technology, will provide the ideal setting for a
high profile corporate function. As it does for a social
setting, with graceful arches and scalloped pillars giving it

Princes Room

The walls and pillars of the Princes Room have silently


witnessed the unfolding of history as India’s ruling princes
met in secret, in a vain attempt to stave off their inevitable
secession to the Indian Union. Today, the Princes Room is
the perfect setting for a distinguished gathering, business
or social. Stained glass windows frame splendid views of
the Arabian Sea, while the chandeliered ceiling gives it an
air of regal splendour. In the corner an extended alcove

Gateway Room

Gateway Room, as the name suggests, commands an


impressive view of the Gateway of India, set against the
backdrop of the Arabian Sea and harbour. Brass
chandeliers bathe the room in soft light, while large bay
windows invite daylight in, and give the room an open, airy
feel. Should your plans call for celebrations on a grander
scale, the Gateway Room opens into the adjoining Princes

Golden Room

» Golden Dragon:

Started in 1973, Golden Dragon, India’s first authentic Sichuan restaurant recently reopened with a contemporary
new look. The attention is to the details in the décor is highlighted by traditional symbols keeping true to the
oriental trend that is key to the menu and services of the restaurant. A noble and royal Golden Dragon, with a
soothing water feature welcome guests into the restaurant. Modern day dragon patterned panels decorate the
walls, while rice paper and etched glass work are spread over the restaurant space. The upholstery is textured
Indian woven upholstery, and the carpet has a contemporized Chinese wave patterned. The furniture uses
influenced of white porcelain on ivory lacquer furniture pieces that are located around the restaurant. The focal
point of the restaurant is the live kitchen which enhances the dining experience, as patrons can watch the chefs in
action.

The newly introduced menu is the perfect blend of perennial favourite and a sumptuous array of delectable food
designed to please any gastronomic palate. The delicacies include a wide array on dimsums, Beijing Peking Duck
and the Chef’s special – Song of the Dragon. The meal is perfectly complimented with a variety of exotic tea from

» Harbour Bar:

A stylish and sophisticated retreat for a drink or an informal meal, Harbour Bar first opened its doors to the
discerning Mumbai gentlemen in 1933 and has since played host to decades of high-powered rendezvous’. It has
