29
capex INTERNSHIP 2016
LEARNING SUMMARISATION

It was an absolute worthwhile experience in working at the CAPEX, KOLLAM. The

friendly welcoming staff and the space they have created for an Intern allowed me with ample

opportunities to learn and know myself as a worker. This experience brought out my strength and it

added more confidence to my professional approach, built a stronger positive attitude and taught me

how to work in team as a player. The primary objective of an internship is to gather a real life

working experience and put the theoretical knowledge in practice. I am grateful to the entire team of

the company for their unprecedented support to make my working experience truly rewarding.

On completion of this internship period, I came to know about the co-ordination between the

different levels in organization and also help me to know the leadership skills and also to be a

initiator during different situation. It gave me a practical exposure to the various functional areas of

which I only had a theoretical knowledge so far . I had limited space to work, I still managed to

grab plentiful of experiences. I made the best of every opportunity I was given and made the utmost

use of my responsibilities. There is however some gap between our theoretical knowledge and real

life practice, yet the managerial level staff members is quite open towards upgrading current

approach, which was extremely motivating. . I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges that came along

every single day.

In this Organisation give equal importance to each and every person and in that

organization, which I felt is; friendly atmosphere that makes the employee back from work pressure

30
capex INTERNSHIP 2016
and they are always trying to make their performance better and work sincerely to achieve the

organization goal.

In an organization, workers are the backbones; motivation makes employees more

productive to the organization. Through motivation management can reduce the grievances rate and

increase the employee morale in an organization.

Internship is the best opportunity to gain the organizational work experience as well as the

particular industrial knowledge.

31
capex INTERNSHIP 2016

33
capex INTERNSHIP 2016

FINDINGS AND SUGGESTIONS

FINDINGS

CAPEX has challenges from the fragmented players in kerala market

There is very good relation between workers and management

The main advantage of the organisation is that sell the best quality product

The distributers & suppliers make a frequent visit, enquire and deliver producton time

The kernel price changes considerably over year

CAPEX is mainly concentrated on product based market strategy

CAPEX has appropriate financial resources available from state government

CAPEX provide with good packaging style

CAPEX products occupy major market share in kerala cashew market

SUGGESTIONS

CAPEX should promote cashews successfully in the international market, a thorough

foreign market study with the help of overseas agency is necessary

The organisation should recruit and trained and fill vacant post by promotion or by

employing ground employees from future

Marketing of the product should be winded

The organisation should develop a fully fledged distribution channel

34
capex INTERNSHIP 2016

To overcome imports steps must be taken for cultivation of cashew trees with in state

By avoiding competition among the kernel manufactures

The step increase in raw nuts price is mainly due to shifting a processing and development

of cashews industry outside kerala . government must take necessary steps to prevent such

practise

35
capex INTERNSHIP 2016

CONCLUSION

The internship program conducted at this firm made me to understand the frame work of an

industrial unit. It has given an outflow on the various functions taking part at organization

including day to day activities. There is a wide scope for exporting and company is utilizing it for

me. My internship programme was an unforgettable experience. I am so happy to do my four week

internship in CAPEX, KOLLAM. That has shaped me in knowing the working of an industry.

Apart from other private sector units. CAPEX is a vibrant organization, prevailing a good

atmosphere. We cannot see individual lien, everyone working together in achieving the goal.

On completion of this internship I came to know about the importance of commerce department

And the role of commercial manager and training executive in an organization

Hence I can sum up by saying that my internship was a milestone to my academic and

professional experience .These lessons that I have learned will be a valuable one for my future

Endeavours as well
