Mining project

In Mining there are several pollution problems are involved. As the transportation of mining
takes place, the various problems start arising. There are various mineral resources available in
places and ecological sensitive areas. As it is required to take the progress of our country and to
explore it in proper manner, as the various states has given permission for the same. In the
states of Rajasthan and Himanchal Pradesh 5000- 10000 hectare of land is given, although there
are certain areas which do look green but proper field work is not done.

In the states of Orissa, Andhra Pradesh there are various bauxite mines which leads to pollution
from mining field.

The other concept involve in mining activity is Rat Hole mining which is basically in Shimla,
where there is coal spread in small area and ones the worker comes out from that area, he has to
breathe and various pollutants go inside while breathing and causes major lungs disease.

The other factor is Underground Mining as it is more eco-friendly but expensive. It is to

safeguard the environment and take care of environment for future.

There are various kinds of pollution which includes -

Visual
Subsidize
Ground water vibrate from blasting
Noise pollution
Air pollution
Water pollution
Nuisance due to transportation Ecological Substance

Due to this there are lot of disease which includes black hole, respiratory disorders, emphysema.

Lungs are very sensitive ones the particles go inside or ones it is absorb it will not come out as it
is so sensitive part. Workers should take care of mines as well as of their health.
There should be balance between mineral and the workers. It is found that a worker in 24 hrs
breathe for 23000 times, during this process various particles go while breathing.

There is also a groundwater contamination in water. As a mining field is given for a lease period
of 25yars to 30 years but during this period a proper care of same is not taken., so it is required
that proper care should be taken and it should be refilled back and given and handover it to the
owner from whom it is taken.

The other major factor is of Blasting where the large number of houses and buildings are
damaged and collapsed.

There is also a buffer zone near mining area about 300 meters near the field so it is required that
protection of people should be assured.

Noise as a pollution, as there are various standards made for the same that there should be no
blasting after 5- 6 pm but at the same time mineral and ore has to be extracted and this is done
after this time.

As it is required that there should be continuous visit and care should be taken of mining field,
parallel to this health safety measures should also be considered.

Water pollution concerned in the mining activity as when ever mining is done the water get
stagnated.

Sand pollution as sand is basically allocated with few northern states so it is required that they
should consume it in efficient manner.

The various other factors include

1. There is high rate of evaporation

2. In the research of Andhra university is was stated that in the sea water, the water is not
condensed properly so it is not fit for drinking purpose
3. In the granite mining as it is made in 45 degree angle, it is required that it should be made
healthy for human beings.
4. It is issue with the general public that the water bodies and project are not efficiently
developed and it is not properly followed as there is no investigating agency.
 5. After the mining activities are done, the green belt is completely hampered.
6. People should observe and have control in the mining activities.

All this issues should be taken in concern regarding mining activities.
