We all know that we have so many great devices that are coming out in China.
However, many of them dont have Google Play/Services pre-installed out of
the box. Sometimes, there is an easy way to do it, other time you have to wait
for a particular workaround.
Of the devices that need to get Google Play installed manually are Letv Le, Le 1
and Le 1 Max. They are all beautiful devices with some killer specs sheet, but
this shortcoming is something users in the West cant live without. In case you

A lot of you guys have asked me how to install Google Play Services on Letv
smartphones, so I decided to make a short tutorial video to help you out.
Make sure to watch the entire video as you need to follow all the

How To Install Google Play Services on ALL LeEco (Letv) Smartphones (

Step No. 1 would be that you have to download the Google Installer apk
and sideload it on your Letvsmartphone. The link is in the
description below this video on Youtube.
Once youve done you have to install the Google installer app l as you
would install any app.
Once the installation process is done, you have to open up the app and
select Google Play app to install. Then you will receive a message saying
that you dont have Google Services framework. Here you have to click ok and
select the install icon located on the bottomthen select continue and
wait till all the apps shown in the list are downloaded. Sometimes it
may take a few minutes, just let your device rest for a while.
Once the apps are dowloaded you will be prompted to install them one by one.
It is very important to select install option for all the apps except for
the Google Play store at this stage. Once you are asked to install
Google Play Store, you have to click cancel.
As soon as the installation Google Play Services, Google Account Manager and
Google Services framework is done, you have to close the application and
reboot your device.
After you have rebooted your Letv smartphone, you have to launch
Google Installer app again and then select Google Play from the list,
download it and install it. Once youve done that, you have the Google Play
Store with all the Google Services up and running on your device.
What you want to do right now is set up you Google account and start
downloading the apps you need.
However, you will receive a Google Play Services error message and will
be prompted to update it. You have to do that immediately to make sure

the apps are running smoothly.

Some other things I recommend doing is to install any third party keyboard like
Google Keyboard as the preinstalled one has too many Chinese aspects in it. In
addition, I downloaded the Google app to make sure I have the best Google
integration possible.

A brand new, unlocked Galaxy S6 can be purchased for $529 from various sources,
including on Ebay.

Why would anyone spend as much (or more, with shipping) for a device which needs
to be coaxed to work with Google Play, has a ton of Chinese stuff installed on it, has a
marginal camera (based on the reviews I've seen), does not support world LTE bands
and has limited, if any, support outside of China?

Yeah, it's a novelty and if it was half the price of the S6 I might consider it to play with,
but as it is, it's just too much trouble and money for a phone inferior to the S6.

The one is $269, pro is $431 on Giztop. Plus a bigger battery and USB-C, It's
really a personal taste thing, isn't it? In addition, the Samsung S6 for $529 is a
special sale on ebay, not it's common price.

I think it supports LTE Band in India and the camera as such is the best in its
class as far as I know. It has Ultrapixel camera in the front side as well. With
HiFi Audio etc...Agree that its support and service lines are very limited for the
price it demands

there is a point in your words regarding dealing a Chinese bloatware and stuff.
However, $529 for the Galaxy S6 is rare price to find.

Also, the Letv Le 1 does not even cost $300. After having reviewed so many

Also, the Letv Le 1 does not even cost $300. After having reviewed so many
devices and have owned both Samsung and Chinese ones, Le 1 is a fantastic
quality/price ratio.

Speaking of Letv Le 1 Pro, which I'm currently testing, the built quality is better
than the Galaxy S6. It is definitely on par or even better than the iPhone 6 in
terms of build in my opinion.

Thanks! Good to know about the build quality.

I have been eyeing the LeTV Max, since it also has a FPS (although I
wish it was a Home button placement).

If the camera on the Max is great, I'll probably grab one over the S6,
warts and all :) I am happy with my 6 Plus and love the camera, but the
Max looks promising.

If not how can that be fixed so I can use all the app from the google store?
