Uric acid stimulate immune cells but uric acid crystals are really disabling immune cells because

white blood cells are needed to remove it so kept busy with irritation.

Gout crystals are called tophi and the pain that create is from immune cells pouring out things to
remove it.

Gout-associated uric acid crystals activate the NALP3 inflammasome

So the uric acid activates immune cells but because they are busy trying to get rid of the crystals the
end result is an immune system stuck in a revolving door of inflammation.

The trick is to lower uric acid so the immune cells can chase other things.

The Catch 22 with people with active retroviruses on antiretrovirals is that the cure creates more
uric acid.

This can cause pre-clampsia.

These findings demonstrate that uric acid activates the inflammasome in the trophoblast, leading
to IL-1 production. This may provide a novel mechanism for the induction of inflammation at the
maternalfetal interface leading to placental dysfunction and adverse pregnancy outcome, including
preeclampsia.

The inflammation side effects activate immune cells which also release retroviruses.
Here they say HIV and HCV raise inflammasomes but the example of uric acid in pregnancy raising
both inflammasomes and trophoblasts means uric acid is more likely to be a cause because
trophoblast cells release more retroviruses than any other cells.

And trophoblast cells appear in cancer too.

So anything that lowers inflammation is good for viral loads, the catch 22 though is that
inflammation activates t-cells so in people who are too healthy the t-cells will go down if they stay
on anti-inflammatory foods.

While HAART has reduced the incidence of HIV-related morbidity and mortality, increasing
evidence suggests that chronic inflammatory medical illnesses, including cardiovascular disease,
diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney and liver disease, osteoporosis, and cancer occur more frequently
and/or at earlier ages in HIV infected individuals. Chronic HCV is similarly associated with liver
inflammation and increased risk of diabetes mellitus, kidney disease, and cancer. HIV co-infection
with HCV results in enhanced progression of inflammation-linked liver and kidney pathology relative
to HCV infection alone. However, the pathogenesis of HIV-1 and HCV-related chronic inflammation is
complex and incompletely understood.

Vegetarians for instance will have low uric acid and that means less inflammation and less t-cells.

This is essentially the catch 22 of comparing the viral load test with t-cells.

Neither equates with each other, if you lower inflammation then immune cells will go down, if you
raise inflammation then the viral load will go up.

For me though it gives a clear planned pathway for curing cancer.

Recent evidence has demonstrated that elevated serum uric acid (hyperuricemia) is associated with
excess cancer risk, recurrence, and mortality. Although uric acid (UA) can function as a systemic
antioxidant, its pro-inflammatory properties have been postulated to play an important role in the
pathogenesis of cancer. Furthermore, obesity, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), and the metabolic
syndrome (MetS) are also associated with excess cancer, chronic inflammation, and with
hyperuricemia, suggesting that UA may represent an important link between these disorders and
the development of cancer.
