American Indians Choice Board


Directions: For each American Indian region you need to choose an activity below to
complete. You will complete one of these activities for each of the region. You can choose to
do all the same activities or you can do a different activity for each region.
Poster
***Your poster should include the following information:
Location: Draw a map and locate the region on the map, major mountains and/or rivers
near the region. Why was this location important to these tribes?
Identify: Identify 2-3 tribes in this region.
Economics: For each tribe in the specific region identify how the were producers and
consumers. What did they produce (food, clothing, arts/crafts)? What did they
consume/trade with other regions or tribes? How were they entrepreneurs?
Create: For each tribe in the specific region create or draw a model of their shelter/homes and
label with the types of resources used to build their shelter/home.
Government: For each tribe in the specific region explain what kind of rules and laws they
had? Who was their leader? What kind of government did they have? What kind of beliefs did
they have?
Compare/Contrast: How was this region and/or the tribes in this region similar and different?
