CONSTRUCTION METHODS

1.0 INTRODUCTION

All parts of the construction shall be furnished with first class workmanship to the fullest talent and meaning of the plans and
specifications and to the entire satisfaction of the engineer-in-charge and the National Irrigation Administration RV..

The installation works must conformwith all the requirements of the DPWH rules and regulations as well as the local rules and
regulatons.

2.0 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF CONTRACT WORKS

The project will be started after the notice to proced is issued. Items of the project includes ;
Canalization Works
1 Structure Excavation
2 211 kgs/cm2. Reinforced Concrete
3 10cm CHB
4 Mortar Finish
2 170 kgs/cm2. Reinforced Concrete
3 Structure Backfill
3 Rubble Masonry
4 15cm CHB

3.0 CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND PROCEDURES

Deliver initial materials and construct a bunkhouse and field office at designated location in the project
site. Provide enclosed toilet, electrical and plumbing facilities, provide sufficient security to prevent illegal
entry and secure the construction site at night and during holidays. Mobilized equipment and manpower
required to be utilized in the project deliver the necessary construction materials to be used in the project.
Clear the actual site.

Prepare a stable batterboard around the area of the proposed structure and lay-out centerlines and
elevation as shown on the plan or as directed by the Engineer. Lay-out structures foundation and excavate
trench to required elevation as shown on the plan or as directed by the Engineer. Prepare and fabricate
wood forms and reinforcing steel. Prepare the Earthworks as noted in the plans. Construct the canal
structures to comple the project.

Demobilized equipment and excess/waste materials. Dismantle bunkhouse and other temporary
construction facilities and cleaning up the of the project area satisfactory to the end user of the project.
