A Tigers View
More than 200 guests attended the Detroit Tigers Luncheon on
January 24th at the Cadillac Grill to hear A Tigers View with Detroit
Tigers Quintin Berry, Andy Dirks and Drew Smyly.
Signed photographs, baseballs from the Detroit Tigers memorabilia
collection, and an 18 person luxury suite was auctioned to benefit the
Detroit Tigers Foundation.
With the help of our members, the Cadillac Area Chamber of
Commerce forwarded a check for more than $7,000 to the Detroit
Tigers Foundation.
The mission of the Detroit Tigers Foundation is to use the game of
baseball to enhance the quality of life in Michigan communities with
a focus on youth, education and recreation.

announces two new
scholarship funds
The Cadillac High School Class of 1963 has initiated
the CAPS Alumni Association Scholarship Fund to
benefit graduating seniors from Cadillac High School.
Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis in accordance
with the spending policy of the foundation. Scholarship
recipients are chosen by a selection committee appointed
by the Cadillac Area Community Foundation.
These Alumni Association Scholarships will be awarded
in two categories. They are for the Most Improved Viking
and the Most Resilient Viking.
All Cadillac High School alumni are invited to be
included in this Alumni Scholarship Fund in an effort to
perpetually give back to the community and to financially
support deserving Cadillac High School students with
their postsecondary education pursuits.
