Q.1.Suddenly you are promoted to replace your manager. He / She is not available for any
consultation whatsoever. Describe the situation at work. Describe in detail your initial views of how
you expect to manage the group. Be as thorough as possible at this time!

Ans. A brilliant philosopher once said that every new beginning comes from some other beginnings
end. To answer this question deliberately we need to know about different roles of the manger.
Manager has many roles and responsibilities assigned to him at work place. Suppose Im working in a
company ABC and I have been promoted to manager. The first step I would take is to make list of activities
and roles that Im assigned to work as a manager. There are many roles and responsibilities of manager at
workplace but, I am assigned with following functions which varies.
Planning of work
Getting co-operation of Employees
Maintaining good human relations
Timely Reporting and Feedback
Arrange training and development facilities
Solve the Problems
Encourages a team spirit
In the contemplation of these functions, one to one interaction, group meetings are essential to encourage
team spirit and to resolve any problems arising at the workplace.
At this promoted level, my job is also to resolve any kind of conflict found between the employees of the
organization. My initial views about managing the group is to resolve any kind of work conflict they are
facing at workplace. After resolving conflict, I need to be well-disposed with everyone in order make sure
that everyone is able to share their views.
There are few points which is necessary in order to manage the group proactively.
Building Trust and Goodwill in a Group
Use team building exercises
Encourage good communication in the group
Allow time for group members to mingle and chat
Facilitating Discussion in a Group
I need to work on those points in order to manage the group efficiently and cordially.
Q.2 Describe what motivates you in your professional life and personal life.
Ans. Motivation is a powerful tool. Its what we use to drive ourselves forward to complete tasks.
The main aspect of professionalism is to strive for working even in diverse situation. My basic Aim of my
professional life was to lend a helping hand to others in their work. Working for others is integrated part of
the professionalism which is the core element of professional life.
In my professional Im being motivated by following things
Recognition and reward for performance
Communication
Opportunities
The Reward system
The structure of the work
Having a Flexible Work Schedule
In my personal life

Everyone in their personal life is being motivated by some factors. It might be reward for money
to be famous among others etc. I have been motivated by these factors which is
Money and Rewards associated with work
Strive for others especially poor
Making power and fame among others
Hunger for Recognition

Ans vision is defined as, the ability to think about the future with Imagination and wisdom.
In 5 years
My vision is to become Financial Analyst. After Doing MBA, I will purse my education after MBA.
For becoming financial Analyst, I need to participate in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). After passing
this exam I will serve as Financial analyst in one of the organization.
In 10 years
After got experience as financial Analyst, I will take an opportunity to be promoted to finance manager
based on the Quality of my work.
In 20 years
In 20 years, my vision is to be promoted to senior financial Analyst based on the experience in previous
positions as well as Quality of work.
