(57) Abstract :
A process is disclosed for simultaneous quantification of Amlodipine besylate and telmisartan in tablet. The process further includes
spectrophotometric calculation. In addition, the process involves formation and solving of simultaneous equation at 297.0 nm for
estimation of telmisartan and amlodipine besylate is estimated from the calibration curve at 362.0 nm. Alternatively, the process may use
absorbance ratio method using 324.0 nm as isobestic point for estimation of telmisartan. In alternative to other methods first derivative
spectroscopy using 236.0 nm as zero crossing point is used for estimation of telemisartan. Methanol and 0.1 N sodium hydroxide in is
used as solvent.
