Question # 1

What do you think is the best strategy that works best in building the childs cognitive
development?

Answers:

A. Appreciating the childs work in everything they do inside the classroom found out to be
a very positive reinforcement for the pupil.
B. Learning by doing through this they will learn more.
C. Learning by doing because experience is always the best teacher.
D. Involving mental activities like thinking, understanding, learning and remembering.
E. Practice makes perfect. Let us give time and effort to develop our childrens mental
processes that enable them to learn.

Sub Analysis:

I think the best answer here is by involving the child in mental activities such as thinking,
remembering ,understanding and learning. Because this could sharpen the childs memory and
enhance their thinking ability .A Cognitive development involves mental processes so as the
lesson progress we can give them activities that uses their logical thinking such as puzzles,
treasure hunt and problem solving. Childrens have different ability so we have to think of ways
that can motivate them more or ways that can gain their interest. You have to think of ways that
could work to everyone inside the classroom and you have to learn to balance the situation. And
lastly you have to remember that patience is the key to effective teaching.
QUESTION # 2

How can you enhance the learners different abilities or talent?

Answers:

A. By encouraging them and shows positivity in their abilities.

B. By giving them different activities , you will know where they are good and where they
are weak. And by the time you know where they are good you will give more practices
to enhance their abilities.
C. To motivate them to show their talent and abilities.
D. Engage them in different events or contest that can enhance their abilities and talent.
E. Ask question and set up opportunities to provoke your child to think for himself.
Encourage them to come up with origin of ideas and show respect for her ideas.

Sub Analysis:

I think that what we need to do to is to show them our support .We have to give attention to their
needs especially when they are going to participate in a contest or events in the school. And over
all there are different ways to enhance the learners abilities or talent. I agree that we should
engage them in different activities because this could give them the opportunity to know their
strengths and weaknesses but most of all this could trigger their hidden talent that is yet to
discover. As a teacher we can guide and help them to be the best that they could.
QUESTION # 3

Do you think formal teaching is the best way for the learners to reach their full potential?

Answer:

A. Formal teaching is only one way for the learners to reach their full potential. I think the
best way is that they convey the knowledge by their own performance (by doing).
Teachers are just there to affirm that they did the right thing.
B. In some matters yes but sometimes they will learn from experience.
C. Yes it is because not all learning / lesson can be taught in the community. Although real
life is the best assessment teaching basic to complex subject matter is a must.
D. No experience really gives way for a person to show their potential. There are many
known personalities in the world , they become popular and successful even if they dont
go in formal teaching.
E. Formal teaching helps the learners to understand and educate but I still think peer
teaching / collaborative strategy is also a way to develop learners mental processes.

Sub Analysis:

According to the answers that I have gathered their opinions are different from one another some
of them agreed to it and some of them did not agree. Some of them said that formal teaching is
the best way to reach their full potential and educate them. And as for me not all the learning can
be taught in school, our community is also one of the biggest influence. But we have to undergo
through formal teaching to earn a degree and to be considered as a professional. But still it
depends upon the person to succeed in their chosen field of work and lastly tardiness is not an
option.

In your own words , What is teaching?

Answer:

A. Teaching is sharing your thoughts, knowledge, exploring and discovering.

B. Teaching is a work from the heart.
C. To mold the character of a student to be a good citizens.
D. Teaching is imparting, sharing, giving knowledge to an individual.
E. Teaching for me is helping students to learn and educate them to acquire knowledge or
skill.

Sub Analysis:

There are different views and answers about this question. I think the words written here sums up
what teaching is. But for me teaching can never put into words aside from the word itself.
Teaching is very valuable and every one of us has the right to learn. Learning is basic human
rights. And my own definition of teaching is teaching is not just a profession it is a gift and a
passion. Why? Because not all of us can teach young children and being able to teach is a gift
from God.
Question # 5

How can you relate your lesson topic to a real life situation?

Answers:

A. By localizing and contextualizing.

B. Every day is a new day. Expect more new learning whether it is good or bad. You have to
be open on what will happen, but keep in mind that you have to pass the struggles and if
you fail move on.
C. Teaching a lesson with moral values is an application and useful generalization of quality
education that we teachers can give.
D. Based on experience.
E. Experience is the best teacher. You can explain better if you can relate in ones situation.

Sub Analysis:

Experience is the best way wherein you can relate your lesson topic to a real life situation. It is a
fact and all teachers agreed to it. And as for me experience can give you a life-long learning
experience that we all can use. Another way is that teaching a lesson with moral values. This
way we can mold a learner to be better person and became a good citizen in the community. A
person that we could be proud of.
General Analysis:

Based on these questionnaires, I could say that I have learned so many things. I have come to
realized that teaching is not an easy task. Because when you teach you have to ensure that the
learners gained some knowledge from you. And teaching is not one sided, It is a give and take
situation they learn from you and you learn from them. They say the longer years you teach the
more situations you encounter. For me it doesnt matter if you are in the field for a short time
what matters is you give your best and you love what you do. But as the time progress the
learners change so you have to cope up with these changes. And as a teacher we are their second
parent so we must mold them to be a better person and act as a good role model.

Conclusion:

To be a good teacher you have to undergo through a training and most of all you need to study.
In the field of teaching we could face uncertain situations, there are different types of learners
and we should be readily up for the challenge. I could say that teaching is one of the hardest
profession because you are not only going to teach one you are expected to teach 30-50 students
one at the same time. You have to be very patient and willing to extend your effort. And lastly
encouragement is the best way to show them that you care.
