1. INTRODUCTION
Human beings have equal desire and ambition to make life prosperous.
The final and long term goal of population education is to increase the
standard of living of an individual, family, society, country & the world
as a whole.

The concept of quality of life is wide. There are different


interpretation of quality of life. Someone rightly said that quality of life
is relative term depending upon the socio-cultural and religious people,
religious values & practice may be the priority and some other may
prefer creative development. Similarly, some may like to have modern
innovation bonded with traditional values and cultural as an attainment
of quality of life.

The degree of satisfaction and happiness that one fulfills through


his/her basic and other needs is known as quality of life. So, the quality
of refers to the life style with full happiness and satisfaction that
fulfills socio-cultural, psychological and emotional needs including
survival needs or basic needs. It is the sense of being pleased or
satisfied with those life elements that are most important to a person.

This project work contains the description of various factors like


age, sex, education attained, income of family, their income sources and
their expenditure on different topics like food, health, communication,
transportation and other factors of 20 houses of Balaju area which helps
to determine the quality of life of the 20 houses mentioned in this
project work.

2. OBJECTIVES

The report writing has been planned, designed and


higher expectation. This report writing not only injects
practical education in the students but also helps them
to be able to interreact with other people as per the
requirement of time & situation without any type of
reluctance. Besides, it's objectives are:
To know the number of male, female and children in
the 20 house mentioned in the project work.
To know the educational status of the people.
To know whether the income of each family is
sufficient to fulfill the elements of quality of life
for the family or not.
To know if the family members of each family who
are working have done admiring job or not.
To know the saving of each house.
To know about expenditure of the 20 houses.

3.METHEDOLOGY

This project work is the study of 20 hoses of our


neighborhood. It is done to determine the quality of life
of the people of those 20 houses that are mentioned in
this project. To make this project, I randomly selected
the 20 houses having different economic & social status
so as to compare each other individually.

I have been able to prepare this project based on


quality of life by visiting 20 different houses of my
locality. Among two primary and secondary sources, I
have used the primary source to prepare source to
prepare this project work. I had visited their houses
on my own and asked questions individually and did
conversation through which I came to know about the
total number of people, education they had obtained,
their monthly income and their income sources, their
expenditure on health, food, education, transportation
and communication etc.

4.INTERPRETATION
4.1 AGE & SEX WISE

Table no.1 gives us the information that there are 9 male


& 7 female of age-group 0-14 years which makes 18.37% &
14.58% of total no. Of male & female respectively. There
are 36 male & 37 females of age group 15-59 which makes
73.46% & 77.08% of total no. Of male & female
respectively. There are 4 male & 7 female of age group 60
& above years which makes 10.81% & 14% of total no. Of
men & female respectively. From the above table, it is
clear that there are 16 people of 0-14 age group that
makes 16.49% of the population. There are 73 people that
belong to the age group of 15-59 that makes 75.2% of the
total population. Similarly, there are 8 people of age group
60 & above that makes 8.24% of the total population.

Table No.2 gives us information about the educational status of


the people of those 20 houses. There are 12 males and 21
females who are under S.L.C that makes 24.49% and 43.75% of
the number of males & females respectively. There are 30
males & 14 females who are graduate that makes 61.22% &
29.17% of the no. Of males & females respectively.

From the above table, it is clear that there are 33 people who
are under S.L.C that makes 34.02% of the total population. There
are20 people who are under graduate that makes 20.62% of the
total population. Similarly, there are 44 people who are graduate
that makes 45.36% of the total population. Thus, there are more
female than male who are S.L.C & under graduate but the number
of male graduates are more than that of female.

Table no. 3 explains about the monthly income of 20


houses. It shows that that there are 6 houses that
have income up to Rs. 30,000 that makes 30% of the
total houses whereas 10 & 4 houses have income
between Rs 30,000-70,000 and more than Rs 70,000
respectively which represent 50% & 20% of the total
houses.

The above table shows us the information about the income sources of the 20 houses.
It explains us that people of 5 houses earns through government service that makes
14.29% of total houses. There are 3 houses each where the income is gained through
teaching & through the profession of doctor & nurse which make 8.57% each out of
the total houses. There are 7 houses that depend on business & service in bank which
makes 22.86% & 25.71% of the total houses. There are 7 houses that depend upon
foreign employment for income that makes 20% of the total houses.

The table no.5 shows us about the expenditure of 20


houses on food. By this we can see that 4 houses spend
up to 5000 to fulfill their need of food which makes 20
% of the total houses. There are 12 houses having
expenditure between 5000-10000 in food that makes
60% of the total houses. There are 4 houses that spend
more than 10000 on food which makes 20 % of the total
houses.

Table 6 Explains us that there are 20 houses that spends


1000-5000 in education which makes 10% of total house.
Similarly, the above table also explains us that there are
12 houses that spend 5000-10000 in education that makes
60% of total houses & there are 6 house that spend more
than 10000 in education which is 30 % of total house.

The above table explains about the monthly expenditure of 20


houses in health. It shows us that 7 houses have expenditure in
health check-up to 10000 which makes 35% of the total houses.
And 9 houses have expenditure from 10000-25000 which make
45% of the total houses.

From the above table, we can know that there are more
houses having the expenditure in health between 10000-25000
So most of them have good health.

Table No. 8 represent the description of expenditure of


houses in communication. There are 6 houses that spend
monthly up to Rs2000 which makes 30% of the total
number of houses. Similarly, there are 8 & 6 houses that
spend Rs 2000-5000 & more than Rs5000 monthly in
communication respectively
The above table shows that there is more number
of houses that spend from Rs2000-5000 in
communication so people have good accessibility in
communication.

Table No.9 shows us the information about the expenditure in


transportation of the 20 houses. It explains that 10 houses
have expenditure in transportation up to 5000 which makes
50% of the total houses. There are 6 houses that have
expenditure in transportation between 5000 & 10000 which
makes 30% of the total houses. From the table it is also clear
that there are 4 houses that have expenditure in
transportation more than 20% of the total houses.

From the table, we know that there are more houses


having expenditure in transportation more than 5000 and
there is less number of houses having transportation more
than 10000.

Table No. 10 gives us the information about the


expenditure of the 20 houses in other stuffs. It shows
us that4 houses have expenditure in others up to Rs
5000 monthly that makes 20% of total houses. There
are 10 houses that spend in between RS5000-10000
which makes 50% of total houses and there are 6
houses that spend more than Rs10000 which makes
30% each of total houses.
From the above table, it is clear that there are
more houses having expenditure between Rs5000-
10000.

The above table gives us the information about the


saving of 20 houses. It explains us that 6 houses have
saving up to Rs10000 that makes 30% of the total
houses. There are 10 house that have savings between
Rs10000-20000 that makes 50% of the total houses. It
is also clear that there are 4 houses that have saving
more than Rs20000 that makes 20% of the total
houses.
From the above table, it is clear that there are more
number of houses that have saving between Rs10000-
20000 & there are less number of houses that have
saving more than Rs20000.

5.Conclusion

Quality of life is the degree of


satisfaction or happiness that one can fulfill
through his or her basic and other needs. This
report on a quality of life helps to determine the
living standard of my neighbor's. While preparing
this project report of quality of life I came to
know that some people have low quality of life &
some people have high quality of life & quality of
life varies from families to families. It differs
according to country, time, place, & individual.
