I am new to Pydio and would like to thank you in advance for any help you
are able to provide. The issue is when i have selected a file and wish to share
it. There is the email option which I select and it shows the href code in the
skullhex area below. When i send the email it is received with a totally blank message
body. Can someone point me in the direction of this issue?

Hi Rich,
Do other emails work, like sending a new user email/password when you
create a shared user? Or trying the Reset password form?

Hey Charles,

Thanks for taking note of my issue. Yes, I can send the emails they do arrive
skullhex at recipients but There is nothing in the body of the message. For my specific
Participant
issue when you send someone an email notification while preparing the
email you can see that it has the shared url address to be included in the
email. When you press send it sends the email successfully. When received
the email is delivered correctly even including the subject but nothing in the
body of the email where the link to the shared file should be. Any thoughts?

Just a guess, but perhaps its a sendmail issue on the Pydio server. Have you
tried using msmtp instead? Its way easier to configure than sendmail.

Thank you for the response Alozzy,

Can you tell me is there a way to identify that this is the issue? And it the
skullhex setup a simple change in a drop down menu or are there more settings
Participant
involved? I dont mind trying something but I wanted to throw a little more
thought at it first since the emails are sending out and being received.

hi rich
in the Core Options > Mailers panel, did you try to switch between mail and
sendmail?

Yes I did try this. I currently have it set to mail and it sends the email but
missing the body of the message which includes the URL. if I switch to

sendmail it fails to even send an email with this error. could not execute:
skullhex /usr/bin/sendmail MENU

I am fine using mail as it already works but for the problem which started this
thread. Any thoughts?

Sorry, lost track of this post

If you are willing to try MSMTP, here are my install notes for Ubuntu:
alozzy

Install msmtp:

sudo apt-get install msmtp ca-certificates

sudo nano /etc/msmtprc

Create the following lines, only if you need TLS enabled and if you need to
authenticate to the SMTP server:

25/7/2017 Topic: Share file email does not include link. | Pydio

# Set defaults.
defaults

# Enable or disable TLS/SSL encryption.

tls on
tls_starttls on
tls_trust_file /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt

# Set up a default account's settings.

account default
host your_smtp_server_here
port 587
auth on
user your_username_here
password password
from sender_name@your_domain.com
logfile /var/log/msmtp/msmtp.log

Obviously, you need to use your own values for the host, port, user,
password, and from settings above

Edit the PHP.ini file (/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini) and change the sendmail

path to point to /usr/bin/msmtp -t

Then, issue these commands:

sudo mkdir /var/log/msmtp

sudo chown www-data:adm /var/log/msmtp
sudo vi /etc/logrotate.d/msmtp

Create the following lines in that file:

/var/log/msmtp/*.log {
rotate 12
monthly
compress
missingok
notifempty
}
