JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT
OF MR. VICTORIO B. SALTING

I, VICTORIA B. SALTING, 23 years old, single , residing


atBrgy. Malasin, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, after having
been sworn to in accordance with the law do hereby depose
and state:

That Fiscal Samuel A. Matias is the counsel who


conducted and supervised my examination as a witness at
her office at Provincial Prosecutors Office, Butuan City,
Agusan del Norte;

That I am answering the questions herein fully


conscious that I do so under oath and that I may be
criminally liable for false testimony or perjury;

The following are the Questions propounded by Fiscal


Samuel A. Matias and my answers in English language:

Q1: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the
truth?
A1: Yes Maam.

Q2: Why are you executing this judicial affidavit?

A2: Because I want to file charges against ALDEN V. DE
GUZMAN for recruiting me to join his fraternity and
subjecting me to an initiation rite which involve
physical and mental torture.

Q3: How did you know this Alden De Guzman?


A3: We were classmates in Araullo University College of
Law?

Q4: Can you tell where does Alden De Guzman resides?


A4: He resides at San Josef Norte, Cabanatuan City.

Q5: Can you narrate how did Alden De Guzman recruited


you?
A5: On August 19, 2017, at about 5 in the afternoon, while
I was in the library, Alden De Guzman, asked me
whether I am already a member of an
organization/fraternity in the university, then I
answered in the negative. Thereafter, he asked me
whether I want to join one, which could absolutely help
me in my study of law, I said I am going to think about
it. He then replied that I may attend the orientation for
the new recruits then after that I may decide to give it
a go or not, then I agreed to come, so that I may know
the principles of his fraternity.

Q6: Can you narrate what happened after this incident, if


there is any?
A6: I attended the orientation for the new recruits.

Q7: Where was it held?


A7: It was held in a private resort in Brgy. Camp. Tinio,
Cabanatuan City.

Q8: When was it held?


A8: it was held on August 27, 2017 at about 9:30 in the
evening.

Q9: What transpired during that time?


A9: We were greeted at first, then they talk about the
visions, principles and policies. Thereafter, Alden told
me, in private, sasabak ka sa hazing, perohuwag ka
mag-alala, kontilangyun at
siguradongkakayaninmoyun. Then, I decided to join
because of the assurance he made. Few moments
thereafter, we were asked to enter in a room, where
the initiation was conducted.

Q10: You said we, who are with you during that time?
A10: Fellow neophytes, I do not know them by name, I
might recognize them by face.

Q11: Do you know who conducted the hazing?


A11: No. I was blind folded, I dont know who paddled,
boxed, and slapped, etc.

Q12: Let us go point by point. How did you get into that
resort?
A12: I was accompanied by Alden De Guzman, we rode in
his brand-new Toyota Fortuner going to that resort.

Q13: When you arrived at the resort, what happened, if you


could still recall?
A13: Alden and I went to the hall where I saw members and
new recruits were drinking and singing in a videoke.

Q14: You said that you were blind folded, who blind folded
you?
A14: Alden.

Q15: How did you enter the room when you were blind
folded?
A15: Alden assisted me, but while entering the room,
someone kicked me, so I fell on the floor.

Q16: After you fell, what did you do next?


A16: they continued kicking me, but it is just slight kick.
Then I was made to follow a sound as a guide to the
entrance of the room. When I reached the room,
someone help me stood up, then they made me
undress my clothes. After that a someone boxed me in
my chest.

Q17: Who do you think boxed you?


A17: I do not know.

Q18: Can you tell us what else happened inside the room?
A18: I was slapped in the face. Then I was made to recite
provisions of different laws, and when I committed a
mistake, I was being hit by a hard object in the back
portion of my legs.

Q19: How many boxes or slaps did you received?


A19: More or less 5 times.

Q20: Can you tell what part of your body you were boxed or
slapped?
A20: As far as I could remember, I was boxed in my
abdomen, chest and shoulder, and was slapped in my
face.

Q21: How many hits, by that hard object you mentioned, did
you receive, if you could tell?
A21: As far as I could tell, more or less 5.

Q22: After you were hit 5 times, what did you feel?
A22: I could not remember, all I remember is that I am
counting the hits I am taking, then I collapsed, then
when I woke up, I was already at the hospital.

Q23: Do you have any idea who brought you to the hospital?
A23: No.

Q24: How long have you been in the hospital?


A24: I was confined there for 10 days.

Q25: Do you have any proof of all your allegations?


A25: Yes. Leonard Magdangal, a brother in the fraternity
volunteered to testify in my favor.

Q26: Do you have any medical certificate to support your


allegations?
A26: Yes, I have.

Attached to this Judicial Affidavit is an original copy of


the medical certificate marked as Exhibit A.

Q27: Based on this medical certificate you are showing to us


that the injuries would have incapacitated you for a
period of 10 to 30 days?
A27: Yes, I have been hospitalized for 10 days and I was
unable to attend my class for almost a month.
Q28: Who issued this medical certificate?
A28: It was Dr.Erica Marie San Andres. A resident doctor in
PHGMRMC.

Q29: Whos signature is this in the medical certificate?


A29: My doctor, Maam, Dr.Erica Marie San Andres.

Q30: Why did you say that it was Dr. San Andres who signed
it?
A30: Because I was in front of her when she signed the
medical certificate.

Q31: Do you have anything to say, Mr. Sales?


A31: No more. I will just tell in open court everything I was
unable to state.
