Please note: The 3 x 8 mm S tape feeder module for 0201/0402 components has no
spacer. The increment is pre-set at 2 mm as the carrier tape for this module
is generally manufactured with 2 mm increments.
But a setting of 4 mm is possible!

Inserting carrier tape

Inserting cover tape in the removal device

Press and hold the retainer down. Lift the pick-up window using a
fingernail under the hook there.

Pull back the cover tape (approx. 300 mm). and fold it into a V-shape.

Please note:

Do not open the retainer when carrier and cover tapes are
already in place before firstly relieving tension from the
cover tape!

Otherwise, the cover tape removal device will cause


tearing in the carrier tape's perforation resulting in several
tape-pockets being pulled forwards.

Consequence:
Loss of components and possible malfunctions
due to loose components.
Adjusting the pitch in 2 mm increments

Correct positioning of all components may be 1

achieved by advancing the carrier tape in 2 mm steps.

Using 0402 components in paper tape (3 x 8 mm SL)

Setting up the central tape reels

Please note:

Filling stick magazines with components

With the new long stick magazines the


cover of the SIPLACE need not be opened for refilling.

When the last component has reached the Open packaging magazine, position at the
