The course is topic based and designed to enhance low advanced l
evel students English listening, speaking, reading and writing
skills. Students will learn to communicate within the context of
Course topics relating to business and finance, food and nutrition, soc
Description iology, psychology, advertising, and communication, and environm
ent by listening to and taking notes for interviews, discussion
s, research, and presentations, reading (up to 3000 headwords) r
elating to a variety of themes and reading strategies, and writi
ng paragraphs, summaries, and essays (around 250 words). The gen
res include instruction, explanation, classification, opinion, a
nd blended essays. Students will be able to demonstrate the lear
ning achievement through various ways, such as oral presentatio
n, poster presentation, reader theater, and microfilm.

1.Students are required to attend all the classes on time and ab

2. Any sort of leave should be done beforehand by e-mail or phon

ription (or evidence signed by any relevant personnel) on the da
y when students return to school if sick leave is asked.

3. Students are not allowed to take any makeup test for any abse
nce.

4. Cellular/smart phones are prohibited using in class.

5. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Assignment of plagiarism w
ill be graded zero. Plagiarism will also be punished on the basi
s of school rules.

7. Deadlines for assignments are strict. Late assignments will
cause 25% discount daily. Complaints about the grades must occu

cause 10% discount of the ordinary evaluation.
