CONSTRUCTION PROCEDURE

After taking N.O.C from Design Wing Commercial the following


instructions should be followed

a. In case of excavation on the plot, Owners/Contractor will be obliged


to inform concerned Building Inspector about the schedule of digging
a day before actual excavation.

b. Excavation in Service area will invariably be taken manually and no


mechanical digging will be done in Service area.

c. Excavation of the plot will be done during day timings i.e.:-

(1) 0800 Hrs to 1800Hrs - Summer


(2) 0800 Hrs to 1700 Hrs - Winter

d. During excavation of Commercial plot Owner /Contractor will be


personally present at the site to supervise excavation against any
damage to Service/adjacent property.

1. As per standing instructions, the Owner of the Plot or his


representative is obliged to visit BCD for briefing by Manager BCD
and to obtain Inspection Card. Manager BCD will get an undertaking
on plain paper regarding compliance of instructions conveyed to
him/her by Design Wing. The undertaking will also cover recovery of
damage to Services or adjacent property as result of excavation in the
Plot.

2. On knowing excavation schedule by concerned Building Inspector


from the plot Owner/Contractor, he will visit the site as per schedule
and will guide excavation team to remain vigilant to protect laid
Services. In case any further protection of Services is needed, BI will
inform concerned Services Manager to depute his staff to supervise
and protect the respective Services.
3. A revetment or shoring is mandatory for the construction of Commercial
buildings with basement in order to protect road and infrastructure.
4. The shuttering level will be marked at 3-9 and finish floor level at 4-
6. In case of any changes due to site slope, the levels will be marked on
site.

5. Overhead water tank will be linked with underground water tank and
provision of float valve in both the tanks is mandatory.

6. The road level should be marked from the center of the plot.

7. Advertisement boards and hoardings will be installed as per approved


design.

8. You are requested to ensure implementation of above instructions in true


spirit to avoid damage of Services laid in Service area.

9. Finishing material of the building will be finalized by the Chief Architect


before installation.
