Skyline Math Club Constitution 2015-2016

Article 1
The organization will be called the Skyline Math Club and will organize during the
first month of school each year.

Article 2
Skyline Math Club shall have at least one advisor who is on the school staff.

Article 3
All Skyline High School students are eligible to be members of the Skyline
Math Club. New members shall be admitted at any time of the year and guests
shall be welcome with a valid ASB membership.

Article 4
The club officer board shall consist of a president, vice president, executive director,
treasurer, and director of communications. Officers for a given school year will be
elected by the first week of June during the preceding school year. Members must attend
5 weekly meetings to be eligible to vote in the election and 10 weekly meetings in order
to run for a position on the board. Officers are elected by secret ballot, and no person
shall hold more than one office. Newly elected officers will officially take their positions
at the end of the school year during which they were elected. A just accusation as well as
a vote of two-thirds of the membership shall be needed to impeach any officer that has
been deemed incompetent in the performance of their delegated duties.

Article 5
Each officer shall serve the term of the school year and the following year until
new officers are elected. The duties of the officers shall be:

President: Schedule and conduct meetings, make sure club meetings and activities are
announced. Coordinate the efforts of other officers, club activities, and lead the club.

Vice President: Take over if the president is absent during a club meeting or activity.

Secretary: Take minutes at meetings, be involved in club activities.

Treasurer: Work with ASB bookkeeper to manage club finances, give financial report at
monthly meetings. Work with director of communications to organize and manage club
fundraisers.

Director of Communications: Communicate with ASB when necessary, organize


outreach and recruitment campaigns, work with treasurer to organize and manage club
fundraisers.

Article 6
Meetings of the Skyline Math Club shall be held Monday afternoons every week, from
2:30-3:30 in Mr. Elliotts room.

Article 7
A vote of three-fourths of the membership shall be needed to amend this Constitution.
