PROJECT ABSTRACT:

This library management is used to reduce the the time and complexity in case of
searching the books by members . The main purpose of library management system is to use
and maintain the information of the books and members. The are four modules in this project and
The first module deals with the registration of the members in the library . The second module
deals with the adding of books in the library . The third module deals with issue of books to the
members from the library. The fourth module deals with the return of the books by the members
in correct time and also collection of fine if required.

1.1.1 Project Abstract:
The online library management system is used to reduce the complexity with library
management that occurred during the olden days .And it is also used in a computerized manner
so the there will be ease of access to members and to the management . And one of the main
purpose is to store information about the book details and author name code and all other things
etc .And another feature that is very useful is to calculate fine amount if the member does not
return the book at correct time.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The product overview and summary describes the requirements document present on
overview of the product features and summarize the processing environment for developing the
project.
1.1.2 Existing System
Now we are going to se about the existing system and all other functions the are required
in the olden system of library management system . In those dayes the functions of library
management are very complex and there was very difficult in searching and accessing of books
and it was a time consuming process at that time the library management people were tired of
accessing and maintain all the details of the books and member details ..

Disadvantages
 The accessing of books in the library is very difficult.
It is time consuming process and wastage of time
There may be loss in details in case of robbery
There is no security for information.
Managing details is very difficult.
Maintained manually so there is a loss in data.

The new system overcomes the drawbacks of the existing manual system. The system is

The proposed system has a computerized format of maintaing the information and also
reduce stress of library managing people and also very useful to members who are registered in
the library.
