Preface
Metal detectors suitable for magnetic or non-magnetic bulk material

in the detection of mixed metal debris, the parameters of the detector in

1. Working principle

DC power conversion into high-frequency current supply sensor coil,

forming a high-frequency magnetic field. When there is a metal through the

high frequency magnetic field, the eddy current in the metal, the resulting

eddy current consumes the energy of the high frequency magnetic field so

that the high frequency current of the sensing coil increases, the direct

current also increases, the DC current increases, The voltage drop occurs

on the resistor R, the voltage drop signal is time differentiated, the

processing circuit only amplifies the component in the amplification

circuit, and the amplified output signal is sent to the control circuit

to generate the control signal. Control signal control drive circuit output,

so that the machine alarm indicator output, external output at the same

time action.

3. Installation

3.1 Sensor installed

Note

1In order to reduce the sensor signal by external interference, under

normal circumstances the sensor to the control box between the cable as

short as possible, it is best not to be greater than 5m, the factory to

provide the cable length of 5m. So the user in the choice of control box

and sensor installation location should consider the factors.

2The location of the metal detector should be avoided, such as welding,

strong RF sources (such as walkie-talkie), strong vibration and other

sources of interference, and should be away from the place where large metal

moving.

3In the metal probe with the separator with the use of occasions, the

metal probe device installation position should be at least 10m above the

electromagnet.

4The position of the sensor should be selected in the middle of the

two sets of sticks in the middle of the belt, and the distance between the

two sides of the sensor frame should be not less than 60cm. If the distance

between the front and rear rollers is too small, the detection sensitivity

of the metal detector And higher, the metal detector in the transport belt

is easy to work due to eccentric roller roll and produce a malfunction.

5The signal amplifier in the sensor box of the sensor has been sealed

with epoxy resin. It is not necessary to disassemble the sensor. The cable

of the sensor and the controller is connected with the standard end of the

sensor box, and it is not necessary to disassemble it. Will cause the test
is not normal.

Sensor installation should be carried out strictly in accordance with the following steps:

Step 5. As shown in Figure 3F, according to the

Note:
(1) A fixed-side box should be removed using the original bolts, if
accidentally lost, the company can be used to provide a dedicated spare
bolts can not be replaced with ordinary bolt.

3.2 Control box installation

The control box foot is firmly fixed to the bracket or wall with bolts.

by the wind and rain places.

3.3 Intrinsically safe speed sensor installed

The speed sensor acts as an accessory device for the steel belt metal

detector, as shown in Figure 3. Mainly play two roles, one with the connector

detection device signal arrival, the metal detector controller MPU to

calculate the connector and the sensor frame spacing, and second, when the

need to use downtime iron, to determine the location of metal parts. Metal

3.4 Wiring installation

The sensor-to-controller connection cable is piping to avoid

connecting the cable to swing and subject to external damage.

4. Wiring

In addition to the necessary wiring for sensors, power supplies, etc.,

the user can connect other wiring according to their control to obtain the
external output signal of the metal detector for various control. The

position of the terminal can be seen in Figure 8. Remove the terminal box

cover can be carried out the function of the terminal block in Table 2.

Note: The shield of the sensor cable should be grounded reliably. And then

access the metal detector power supply AC220V, and function control line.

Wiring must be reliable, can not have poor contact with the phenomenon,

especially the sensor cable. Otherwise there will be slow movements

increase, or even work and so on. After the sensor cable is wired, the clip

on the bottom of the application base plate is fixed with the base plate.
4.1 Action signal reset control

ZTD series of mining belt conveyor metal detection device with

automatic / keep two kinds of work, through the F1, F2 function keys to

select.

4.2 Automatic reset control mode

When the automatic reset mode is selected, the metal detector detects

the metal, the output of the gold detection action signal to maintain 3

seconds after the automatic reset.


4.3 Manual reset control mode

When the retention mode is selected, the metal detector detects the

metal and the signal output of the gold detector will remain. The output

signal is also maintained, the manual reset after the two output signals

at the same time to eliminate.

(1) the use of manual reset within the machine. Press the F4 "Reset" function

key in the controller manually to cancel the operation of the metal detector

and resume the detection status.

(2) using external manual reset. At this point in addition to the machine

can control the reset button, you can also reset the external remote control.

If you use this reset mode, you need to control the terminal X2.8_R +,

X2.9_R- access to a remote reset contact, contact is normally open,

connected to reset.

4.4 External control output contacts

External control function only one output contact. Detector metal

action through the output relay Q1, contact form for the passive contact,

the capacity of AC220V / 1A.

5. Debugging

5.1 Instructions

Metal detectors and other accessories after installation, must be based

on the actual installation site and process requirements for a series of

adjustment work before they can be put into normal production and use. Metal

detector adjustment work is not complicated, but to achieve good results,

in the adjustment need to carefully and repeatedly test. In the metal

detector adjustment work, you need to use the control box to monitor the

terminal on the keyboard, the display.

Preparation before adjustment:

1) Make sure that the wiring of the metal detector is correct.

2) Remove all external output wiring of the metal detector to ensure safe
commissioning.

3) To confirm the external supply of metal detector power supply, the

voltage is AC220V 10%, 50Hz / 60Hz.

The selected sample is generally not smaller than this standard. In

the case of a better installation environment and proper commissioning,

the actual sensitivity may exceed this standard. But the company does not

use this as the assessment criteria. According to the appropriate

specifications to prepare a piece of iron, the test with the test block

is best to use a rope to tie it in order to repeat the delivery.

Dial the power switch (located in the lower left corner of the control

module) and the metal detector name screen is displayed on the LCD screen,

as shown in window 1.

After about 45 seconds, the stabilization process ends. The metal

detector enters the detection operating state (see window 2).

Show {real-time detection} and date and time at the top of the test

window. {Operation mode} Indicates the state when the gold check operation

When the metal detector is output, the computer automatically records

the time of the action (year, month, hour, and second) for analysis. The

computer records up to 50, the first one to store the current record of

the recent time, if there is a new action, then remove the 50 records.

Enter the password correctly in window 6 and enter window 8.

Press [1] to enter the connector position internal setting screen as

shown in window 9.

{Sensor spacing} represents the distance between the connector detector

and the metal detector sensor, and the average length of the seam represents
the average length of the seam on the entire conveyor. After entering the

confirmation, press the [F2] function key, the computer will display OK

to save the end, press [ESC] function key to return to window 8. Press the

[2] number key to enter the sample iron calibration screen, as shown in

window 10.

{Real-time speed} shows the speed of the current belt running.

The {real-time} area shows the real-time and maximum values of the belt

and the joint section of the steel core during the operation of the belt

through the metal detector sensor. When the belt in the no-load operation,

the normal section (corresponding to the ordinary belt that is equivalent

to the middle section of the signal) is to reflect the current observation

of a period of time when the wire through the metal detector sensor noise

signal size, [F5] Function key is cleared so as to continue to observe the

normal noise signal size of each section of the steel core belt. Note the

maximum noise value, which is related to the setting of V0 in the following

waveform.

The {mineral control} area in the {setpoint} area is currently unavailable.

The {built-in value} field is 00 as the internal setting for the device.

Press the [F2] function key to save the window, and then press the [ESC]

the normal section detection sensitivity value, as shown in window 11. This

operation is generally carried out by professional and technical personnel.

to move the cursor to the Vb value to modify the current Vb value, and then

press [F2] to move the cursor to the Vb value. Use the [F4] and [F5] keys

to observe the highest point of the waveform (that is, the Vb value) Key

to move the cursor to the tab position to set the current value between

1 and 3. And then press the [F2] key to move the cursor to the Kv value

position. When it is set to 0, the metal detector is not interlocked with

the belt (that is, when the metal detector is activated when the belt is

off the metal detector will not action output signal). Press the [F3] key

to save, and the setting operation is finished. Press the [ESC] key to exit

the detection screen.

5.2 A key set

When the metal detector in order to better meet the requirements of

the production process changes, the need to temporarily adjust the

detection sensitivity, metal detector control system to provide you with


the most convenient operation. The specific operation is as follows:

Press the [ESC] key to enter the window 4 (function selection screen),

press [3] key to enter the window 6 enter the password, the password is

entered correctly into the window 8 (set the internal Parameter screen),

and then press the [5] key to enter the setting internal parameter window

12. The 0th column indicates the detection sensitivity data used in the

current period, which corresponds to one of the 1-5 groups of data. To change

the sensitivity, F1] key to select, press [F3] to confirm it.

The five sets of sensitivity data values are pre-set by the factory.

The meaning of each group is set according to the requirement of using

different bandwidth or the permeability of the conveying material.
