The Impact of Social Media

In today's age no one is not familiar with social media. Starting from facebook,
whatsapp, instagram, twitter, line and many more. Social media is a place where everyone
can communicate, share, transact and other. Social things done with or without face to fact.
With social media, all things can be done with or without facing reality. Both children to
teenagers, parents and even grandparents, participate in this social media. That is wherever
and whenever a person can enter into social media.
Often people use social media until there is an addiction. This is what makes social
media like eaters who eat humans slowly. And consequently cause a negative impact and
there is also a positive lead. Negative impacts are tends to be seen from the social, criminal
and mental or emotional side. The positive impact it self is more visible than social and
emotional or mental side.
First, social media give negative effect from social side. Social media make someone
tends talk more often with other people in social media. Although the distance is close even if
there are people who are reluctant to talk directly and choose to speak through social media.
Other than that someone so lazy to socialize with other people or follow outsideactivities, they
prefer to play social media

Second, social media also has a negatife effect from crime. Social media increasingly
facilitate the crime in social media often happens fraud. Fraud in online buying and selling
transanction, fraud in the form of important info to be fake, etc. Other than that in social media
there are also serious crimes such as the spread of slander, burglary bank or someone elses
account (hacker), the spread of the privacy of others and the spread of pornography.

Last, social media give negative effect from emotional or mental side. Social media
make someone experience an attitude dependent and addicted to the use of social media. And
it if continues to be left the social media user can experience even greater impact. This impact
can be a person who likes to be alone or can also be someone who wants to always be the
center of attention. When the impact continue the person may experience mental disorders and
depression.
 On the other hand, social media has a positive effect. It's more that the negative
direction, but also many people who use it correctly. There are still many people who use it
with useful and useful goals that ultimately have a positive impact.

First, the positive effects of social media on the social side. Social media can connect
people who are far apart apart. It could be people who have not met for a long time. Social
media also makes someone a new friend or maybe a new acquaintance. Until making many

Second, social media also gives positive effects from the emotional or mental side.

serious in developing or polishing his talents. Besides social media can be a place to support
each other when someone is affected by the disaster. With our help and support, others can be
stronger and their mental or emotional will not be disturbed.

So, social media has a diverse impact from all sides. The impact can be negative or
positive. If we look at everyday life, the spotlight is more of a negative impact. However, the
positive impacts also remain. And finally all back to the users of social media. do not look at
others, look at ourselves first. We as users, who have thoughts and common sense of course
know what is right for us. Do we use them for useful things and have a positive impact. Or
maybe we want to waste our time by using social media just to play around so as to have a
negative impact.
