Smoke Detector Interface

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Chemetron Fire Systems MMX-2 Monitor Module
is used with the Micro 200-I, 300-I, & 400-I control
panels to monitor a single Initiating Device Circuit
(IDC).

FEATURES
P Supports compatible two-wire smoke detectors.
P Supervises IDC wiring and connection of external
power source.
P High noise immunity (EMI/RFI).
P SEMS screws with clamping plates for ease of

wiring.
P Two rotary switches for direct dial entry of DECADE
address (01-99).
P Built-in magnetic alarm test switch.
P LED flashes during normal operation (this is optional
on the Micro 200-I, 300-I & 400-I.)
P LED latches steady to indicate alarm on command
from control panel.

APPLICATIONS
Use to monitor a zone of 2-wire smoke detectors.
Monitored circuit may be wired as an NFPA Style B
(Class B) or Style D (Class A) Initiating Device Circuit
(IDC). A 3.9 K-ohm end-of-line resistor (provided)
terminates the end of the Style B or D (Class B or A)
circuit [maximum IDC loop resistance is 25 ohms].
Install ELR across terminals 8 and 9 for Style D
application.

OPERATION
Each MMX-2 uses one of 99 available module ad-
