AUTOBIOGRAHICAL ESSAY 2

Introduction

This essay is to inform the audience of my goals and beliefs as a future educator.

It will discuss my beliefs and experiences through my education. During this essay I will

focus on different topics such as my role as a teacher, the role for my students, how I will

teach, and my overall philosophy as an educator. I will provide emphasis in areas such as

why the material should be taught and who should decide how the material is taught.

Overall I will demonstrate how my philosophy will rely on my experiences and

knowledge.

Philosophy

The philosophy that I strive for in my classroom is to build relationships and

connect with the students. As the teacher, my role is to provide a safe, loving, and

respectful environment for students. I will provide this environment by demonstrating it

to students on a daily basis. My purpose is to be a good role model, in hope they will

replicate my behavior. As far as the students role; I expect them to respect their peers.

The material that should be taught is determined by the students and the interest

they display. I belief this because students that take ownership over the material they find

interesting will make engaging in the material a breeze and will help them to understand

the material on a deeper level. I also belief that who decides how the material is taught is

the students. I want to know the best ways they learn, so I can use a little of every

learning style to teach them the material.

Overall my philosophy I will have as a teacher will be Teaching is like an

adventure and reaching to our next destination is the goal. This best describes myself in

this statement by explaining to the audience that I enjoy being adventurous. It also

describes myself by informing the audience I seek to always setting and reaching goals. It

states that I strive in growing in positive ways that will help the students into being

successful. This will be the main theme in my classroom and help the students to learn

the materials needed to be successful later on in life.

Conclusion

In my essay I have discussed the importance on why students should determine

the material they want to learn, how the material should be taught, and why the students

determine how the material is taught. I focused on my role as a teacher, the students role,

and the type of environment I will provide as a future educator. I also focus on how my

philosophy describes me as a person. I state the importance of setting and achieving

goals. Overall my philosophy is Teaching is like an adventure and reaching to our next

destination is the goal.
