According to Ohms law, I = V / R, current equals voltage divided by resistance. This means that because of
ohms law and because each ammeter is dedicated to a specific module (Drying or Curing), there are only a
few errors possible:
These three errors can occur in either the drying or curing module, and it is these errors that are covered by the
14.xx system errors. The troubleshooting procedures described in this newsletter are for the following specific
system errors:
14.05:00 AC Voltage too low on the Dryer Assembly. This error is related to when error 2 (above)
occurs.
14.17:00 AC Voltage too low on the Curing Module. This error is related to when error 2 (above)
occurs.
14.11:00 Open circuit in the Curing Module. This error is related to when error 3 (above) occurs.
Important note on firmware: Pre-intro FW 1.0.0.7 and intro FW 1.0.0.9 display the system error 14.05:00 if
the error occurred in the drying module or the curing module. MR1 release 2.0.0.5 and greater display the
system errors separately depending on the module:

There are different areas in the circuit where potential system errors could be triggered (red numbers
correspond to paragraphs below):
1. The Heaters Control assembly module (a.k.a. Petisa) has a problem.
2. Poor connections in the drying and curing circuits to the Heaters Control assembly (rear of the printer).
3. An error with the cabling from the Heaters Control assembly to the drying or curing modules (left side of
the printer).
4. Poor connections in the intermediate connectors, below the left arc.
5. Error with in the resistors: incorrect resistance, open circuit.
6. Error with the internal fast-on connections inside the modules. For example, at the level of the Thermal
Switches.

The breaker is constantly released every time it is set to the up position. This would indicate there is a
residual current in the corresponding circuit, drying or curing.
The trigger cannot be physically moved to the up position. This would indicate the circuit breaker is
broken. Replace the circuit breaker; refer to the service manual for the removal and installation procedure.
The test button does not release the breaker. This would indicate there is no current in the line coming to
the circuit breaker. If the voltage in the power line is correct, check the cables from the power connectors
in the printer to the circuit breakers.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: Disconnect the printer from all power sources before opening the
electronics cover and checking these circuits.
Check the connections of the cables; disconnect them and reconnect them if necessary.
1. Remove the electronics cover to gain access to Heaters Control assembly connectors.
2. Disconnect the top connector shown as 6 pin Drying in the following picture.
