Final Reflection

Looking back at my initial goals from the beginning of this course I can proudly say that

I have successfully accomplished my goals for this semester. I could reach my primary goals

which was to maintain a B or higher in each class and to save up money for a new car soon. I

still must complete my finals for three other classes before I receive my final grade. However, so

far, I have at least a B or higher in all my six online courses that Ive been taking this semester.

What has helped me get through this semester successfully with good grades is the fact that I

didnt overwhelm myself by taking courses that ended early in October so that Im able to

complete other courses that started in October.

Taking this course has taught me so much about politics and I can admit that this course

has so far been my favorite because I learned new things that interested me. I learned more about

the government and what they do and how much it matters because it affects all of us. I learned

about the constitution, federalism, civil liberties and civil rights. I learned about how media has

been a huge influence on American news including political parties and elections when itd time

to vote. I also learned about the different institutions for example the roles and responsibilities of

Congress, the President and federal courts. This course has encouraged me to be aware of the

political news and to become more involved with politics because its important to be aware of

what happens in the world.

This course has helped me improve on my writing, assessment, and quantitative research

skills. Our weekly discussions and papers has really helped me improve on my writing skills and
the academic sources requirements helped me expand my research skills to not only look in the

book but also online sources. The weekly InQuizitive on different chapters has helped me

improve on my assessment skills as well as gain knowledge on each chapter. In the future, Id

like to work more on my time management when it comes to quizzes, assignments and

discussions because its been difficult with six online courses this whole semester.
