HYDRANT HOUSE EQUIPMENT

Each hydrant house shall be equipped with the following equipment, which shall meet the Underwriter
Specification.

250 ft. of 2 1/2 inch hose in 50 ft. lengths as specified below complete with couplings.

One fireman's axe with 1 pair brackets.

One steel crowbar with 1 pair brackets.

Two hose nozzles per house. (as specified or equal)

One - 2 1/2" Elkhart 211-T Underwriters Playpipe, or equal

One 2 1/2" Elkhart 200 Mystery Fog Nozzle with Jumbo Adapter and Swivel Handles, or equal

Two hose straps (for strapping hose to ladders).

Six coupling spanners (material: Carbon Steel or Malleable Iron).

Two hydrant wrenches (material: Carbon Steel or Malleable Iron).

Four extra hose coupling gaskets.

2. FIRE HOSE SPECIFICATION

2.1 General

The supplier will be held responsible for supplying couplings conforming to thread standard used in the
locality where hoses will be used.

All hoses shall bear the stamp of approval acceptable to the governing underwriters.

All hoses shall be anti-mildew treated.

Each length of hose shall be supplied with a male coupling fitting at one end and female coupling fitting
at the other end.

2.2 Exterior and Interior Use

1-1/2 and 2-1/2 diameter available in 50, 75 and 100 lengths (uncoupled).

2.3 Specifications

P.V.C. nitrile rubber cover and lining, single jacket, synthetic warp and filler.

The test pressure shall be 300 psig.

Factory Mutual approved.

Typical trade names are Angus Redskin or National Everfort or approved equal.
