Notes: 1 Fire hydrant as per Material Classification Standard 4C-01.03.

2 Adjustable valve service box as per Material Classification Standard 4C-01.03 complete with
operating extension rod.

3 6 diameter shut-off valve as per Material Classification Standard 4C-01.03.

4 6 diameter pipe as per Material Classification Standard 4C.01.03.

5 Excavate 2 - 0 deep x 2 - 0 diameter below base of hydrant and fill compactly with1/2 - 1 drain
rock to a level of 6 above hydrant drain openings.

6 Minimum depth of cover shall conform to underwriter specification for the particular location.

7 Insulating gasket as per Material Classification Standard 4C-01.03.

8 On line hydrant tee as per Material Classification Standard 4C-01.03.

9 On line hydrant as per Design Standard 4S-30.02.

10 Anchor hydrant in accordance with Design Standard 4S-30.02.

11 Hydrant house shall be 5 sided metal pre-fabricated enclosure approximately 6-6 wide x 6-6
deep x 7-0 high and subject to the acceptance of the Engineer. Painted in accordance with 2S-
40.01.
