‫ہر امید یک کرن‬

‫ظلمتوں میں کھو یکں‬

‫یہ خبں درست ہں‬

‫ان یک موت ہو یکں‬

‫نں شعود لوگ ہیں‬
Bay shaour loug hain
These people are ignorant
‫زندیکں کا روگ ہیں‬
zindagi ka rog hain
A disease of life
‫اور تبںے پاس ہں‬
aur teray pass hai
And you have
‫ان ےک درد یک دوا‬
In key dard ki dwa
The cure to their ills
‫میں نں اس ےس یہ کہا‬

‫تو ہں مہر صبح نو‬

You are the light of a new morning
‫تبںے بعد رات ہں‬
teray baad raat hai
After you there is only night
‫بولتں جو چند ہیں‬
boltay jo chnd hain
The few who speak out
‫سب یہ شں پسند ہیں‬
sab yeh shar pasand hain
Are all mischief makers
‫ان یک کھینچ ےل زباں‬
In ki kehnch ley zaban
(You should) tear out their tongues
‫ان کا گھونٹ دے گال‬
In ka ghoonṭ day galaa
(You should) strangle their
necks(throats)
‫میں نں اس ےس یہ کہا‬

‫چیں اپنا یار ں‬
Jin ko tha zabaan pey naaz
Those proud of their eloquence
‫چپ ہیں وہ زباں دراذ‬
Chup hain who zaban daraz
Their tongues are completely silent
‫چیں ہں سماج میں‬
Chain hai samaj mein
There is calm in society
‫نں مثال فرق ہں‬
Bey misaal farq hai
There is an unexampled difference
‫کل میں اور آج میں‬
Kal mein aur aaj mein
Between yesterday and today
‫اپتں خرچ پہ ہیں‬
Apnay kharch pey hain
On their own expense
‫لوگ قید تبںے راج میں‬
Loug qaid teray raaj mein
Are people in prison, under your rule
‫میں نں اس ےس یہ کہا‬

Cheen apna yaar hai

‫اس پہ جاں نثار ہں‬
Us pey jaan nisaar hai

‫پر وہاں ہں جو نظام‬
Par wahan hai jo nizam

‫اس طرف نا جائیو‬
Us taraf na ja-io
Steer well clear of that
‫اس کو دور ےس سالم‬
Us ko door say salaam
(only) greet it from far away
‫دس کروڈ یہ گدےھ‬

‫جن کا نام ہں عوام‬
Jin ka naam hai awaam
They are named the masses
‫کیا بنیں ےکں حکمراں‬
Kya banain gay hukmaraan
(They) can never become the rulers
‫تو یقیں ہں یہ گماں‬

You are the truth, they’re an illusion
